Christians in the United Kingdom are taking the scripture "shout for joy to the Lord" seriously.
Believers gathered this week for a public "shout" rally in a Norfolk, England, park.
Event organizers said attendees followed biblical tradition by shouting, calling on God's spirit to move mightily on their city.
"It comes from the fall of Jericho where Israel shouted and the walls of Jericho came tumbling down," one shout organizer explained. "Basically, we felt that God wanted to bring as many Christians as possible together to this park to shout, especially to bring down the spiritual walls."
Event organizers hoped more people would participate, but they believe the shouts and prayers of their small army of believers will have an impact on the community.
