The Nigerian government has ignored years of sectarian violence, leading to mass murder in two central states, according to Human Rights Watch.
A report released today by the group details cases of victims who have been brutally killed because of their tribal or religious affiliation.
More than 3,000 people have died in the county since 2010.
Meanwhile, a recent video released by Boko Haram shows the leader of the organization boasting of an attack on military bases in a provincial capital. He also threatens to attack the United States.
The al Qaeda-linked group is responsible for many of the thousands of deaths in Nigeria during the last two years.
