Iranian TV Posts 'New' Footage of Drone Capture

Iranian state-run television broadcast new footage that allegedly shows the CIA drone they captured in 2011.

The new video shows the Iranian Revolutionary Guard tracking and intercepting the drone, along with images of a Sentinel Stealth Drone landing.

But it was unclear if that footage was meant to depict the moment of the drone's seizure.

Iran claims that after it captured the drone, it also managed to extract video embedded in it showing an aerial view of an airport and a city, purported to be a U.S. base in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

In April, Iran claimed they decoded the Sentinel's intelligence gathering system but failed to provide evidence supporting the claim.

Iran also said it has reverse-engineered the RQ-170 Sentinel Drone and that it's capable of launching its own production line for the unmanned aircraft.
