The global faith-based charity Mercy Ships will be featured Sunday, Feb. 17 on CBS's "60 Minutes."
The news segment will highlight life-changing medical procedures performed on the vessel Africa Mercy.
"We are thrilled to be sharing our story with a national audience," Mercy Ships founder and president Don Stephens said.
"Our hope is that everyone who watches our story will have a better understanding of our work, and will keep our mission in their thoughts and prayers," he said.
The ship has six state-of-the-art operating rooms, an intensive care unit, and beds for up to 78 patients.
Mercy Ships serves the poor in more than 70 countries, providing services like cleft lip surgery and dental care to orthopedic procedures valued at more than $1 billion.
