It used to be Western churches that launched the majority of missionaries into all parts of the world. Now most missionaries are being sent from Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
Missions work has also changed to focus on the 10,000 cultural groups still unreached by the gospel.
Most of these groups are located in the 10/40 window, the regions of Africa and Asia between 10 and 40 degrees latitude north of the equator.
Dr. Tim Hill, general director for Church of God World Missions has traveled to 12 countries and has seen some of the latest developments in Christianity and world missions.
He spoke to Christian World News about what is going on in the world of missions today, including areas where revival is taking place.
What are some things that need to happen in order to experience "authentic" revival? Hill talks about that and his latest book Beyond the Mist, The Quest for Authentic Revival, on Christian World News, Feb. 15.
