A statue of Adolph Hitler in the former Warsaw Ghetto is stirring outrage.
Thousands of Polish Jews died during World War II when the Nazi regime razed the ghetto and sent survivors to death camps.
The statue shows Hitler praying on his knees and can be viewed only from a distance. Poland's chief rabbi did not object to the placement of the statue.
But the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish advocacy group, released a statement saying, "As far as the Jews were concerned, Hitler's only 'prayer' was that they be wiped off the face of the Earth."
