N. Korea Ship with Missiles Seized at Panama Canal

Ad Feedback

A North Korean ship carrying what appeared to be ballistic missiles and other arms was seized at the Panama Canal this week.

The ship was coming from Cuba, and authorities say the weapons were hidden under sacks of sugar.

U.N. sanctions forbid North Korea from importing sophisticated weapons or missiles.

Cuban officials say the cargo was being shipped out to be repaired and then returned to the island.

There's been no comment from North Korea.
