Family of Jailed Iranian Pastor Escapes to Canada

Ad Feedback

The family of an imprisoned Iranian Christian leader has been safely evacuated from Iran. Just a few weeks ago the family of Pastor Farshid Fathi secretly escaped to Canada.

Pastor Farshid is serving a six-year sentence in Evin Prison, Iran's most notorious prison known for brutal treatment and even torture. His crime? Being a Christian evangelist.

CBN News has reported on several pastors who are imprisoned there, the most recent being Pastor Saeed Abedini.

When Farshid was first arrested in 2010, he was held in solitary confinement for more than 100 days. He's now been separated from his family and loved ones for over two years.

Elam Ministries is asking Christians to send Farshid a letter of encouragement. The letters also remind the Iranian government that people know what they're up to.
