Obama Vows to Work with Britain on Syria

Ad Feedback

President Obama vowed Monday to work with Britain to pressure the Syrian government to end its bloody civil war, calling the violence there appalling.

With Prime Minister David Cameron at his side, Obama said the two allies would work to strengthen moderate opposition against the hardline regime of President Bashar al-Assad.
The two also discussed the Mideast peace process and a possible free-trade pact with Europe.
Cameron's next stop will be Boston to honor those slain in April's Boston Marathon bombing.
