This week members of more than 95 pro-family groups from across the globe will gather in Sydney, Australia, for the seventh World Congress of Families.
The congress, which will take place May 15-18, is a time for key groups to share information about the threats to families and plan responses through policy and ministry initiatives.
Participants are expected to tackle one of the biggest and most persistent problems: sex trafficking.
More than 5.5 million children are victims of human trafficking today. The trafficking and sexual slavery of children has risen nearly 10 percent in the past five years and every 30 seconds another child becomes a victim.
