Sunday Nov. 3. is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
Every year, Christians around the world gather in their churches and homes to intercede for those who follow Christ in the face of fierce opposition.
Christian World News covers stories of the persecuted church regularly. We highlight some of the most difficult places for a Christian to live around the globe.
For example, political instability and civil war have rocked the Middle East in recent years. But most people are unaware that Christians have been caught in the crossfires.
Christians have been murdered, their churches burned, and their homes and businesses destroyed.
Now, many are fleeing the places they've lived in for centuries -- the region that was the cradle of Christianity.
Recently, CBN News Senior International Correspondent Gary Lane, spoke with Sr. International Correspondent George Thomas and President of International Christian Concern Jeff King, about the increase of persecution against Christians within the Middle East.
