The United States and Russia are clashing in negotiations over what to do about Syria's chemical weapons.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are meeting in Geneva for high stakes talks.
Russia has offered a proposal to quarantine and destroy Syria's chemical weapons, but the Assad regime is asking for one month to start handing over information about its chemical stockpiles.
On Thursday, Kerry rejected that offer.
He said words alone will not solve the problem and that Russia needs to work with Syria to start handing over weapons immediately.
