Russia Deploys Another Convoy Near Ukraine Border

Another Russian convoy has crossed into Ukraine without permission, this time in an area away from the intense fighting.

Ten tanks, two armored vehicles, and two trucks made their way near the border town of Shcherbak overnight.

Western leaders see the move as a possible ploy to arm pro-Russian rebels. Russia insists it's delivering aid.

The incursion comes as German Chancellor Angela Merkel was in Kiev over the weekend to show support for Ukraine's pro-Western government.

Both the United States and the European Union have demanded Russia withdraw the disputed convoys immediately.
