Ten of Nigeria's top military officers were found guilty of helping the Islamic terrorists group Boko Haram by providing them with weapons and information.

The convictions came months after reports from politicians and soldiers accused some senior officers of aiding the group.

Secret information provided by the officers helped insurgents ambush military convoys and attack army barracks.

Other allegations said that some soldiers even fought with the insurgents during the attacks, then returned to army camps.
