A Liberian health official says the country is making progress in its fight against Ebola.

On Wednesday, the World Health Organization said Ebola infections in Liberia could be declining by as much as 25 percent a week.

The country's assistant health minister confirms the disease isn't spreading as fast as before.

He said it's too soon to celebrate, but there aren't as many confirmed cases of Ebola and workers are picking up fewer bodies off the street.

Nearly 14,000 people have contracted Ebola in West Africa, with more than 6,500 of them in Liberia.
