Anjem Choudary Among 9 Arrested in UK Terror Raid

Police in London arrested nine men Thursday suspected of terrorism, including radical Islamic preacher Anjem Choudary.

Choudary, 47, and the other men, aged 22 to 51, were suspected members of banned organizations and encouraged terrorism.
    
Scotland Yard has raided homes, businesses and community centers as part of the probe. Searches are also underway at 18 other London sites and a residence.
    
Police say the searches are not in response to any immediate threat but are part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist-related terrorism.
   
Last month, Britain raised their terrorism threat level to severe.
