Libraries in Iraq are in danger. Islamic State terrorists have removed and destroyed everything except Islamic texts from the Central Library in Mosul.

After seizing a third of Iraq and neighboring Syria, ISIS is now working toward purging society of everything that doesn't conform to their interpretation of Islam.

So far, the group has already destroyed archeological relics and even Islamic sites considered idolatrous.

More books are also in the firing line. Days after ransacking the library, ISIS broke into the University of Mosul's library and made a bonfire out of hundreds of books on science and culture.
