Fighting continues in Yemen, where Shia Houthi rebels are trying to overthrow the government.

Rebel forces seized control of the state-controlled media, and heavy fighting was reported near the presidential palace and the national security chief's home.

Houthi fighters armed with machine guns, mortars, and rocket-propelled grenades battled government forces. They also targeted Prime Minister Khaled Bahah's motorcade after he met with the president on Monday.

President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi doesn't live at the place, and his home is being guarded by additional troops.

The Shiite Muslim group captured large portions of Yemen's capital, Sanaa, in the fall.

The latest round of fighting began Monday after peace talks broke down.
