Greece's radical left-wing Syriza party is celebrating a historic win in Sunday's parliamentary elections. The party is preparing to launch coalition talks.

The election sets the stage for a showdown with the country's international creditors that could shake the Eurozone.

Alexis Tsipras is leader of the Syriza party. He has promised to end the "five years of humiliation and pain" that Greece has endured since an international bailout saved it from bankruptcy in 2010.

With 99.8 percent of the vote counted, Syriza won 149 seats in the 300-member parliament with 36.3 percent of the vote. The conservatives won 27.8 percent, and the extreme right Golden Dawn party came in third place with 6.28 percent of the vote.
