The United States is stopping Middle East nations from arming the Kurds in the fight against ISIS.

The British newspaper The Telegraph reports President Barack Obama won't let U.S. allies in the Gulf ship heavy arms to Kurdish fighters.

The Obama adminstration requires all arms to go through the U.S.-backed government in Baghdad.

Those weapons go to the Iraqi army, which has been driven back before by ISIS, often abandoning its weapons to the jihad army.

The Kurdish fighting force, the Peshmerga, has successfully defended its territory from ISIS invaders.
