Islamic extremist violence could threaten Judeo-Christian civilization worldwide, according to a new analysis.

A report from Fox News and The Investigative Project on Terrorism states, "Western leaders will need to recognize that the Islamist threat is growing in lethality and geography because current strategies to combat it do not work."

That growth includes Europe according to the report, "The West remains unwilling to end the caliphates in Iraq/Syria and Libya."

Even after recent attacks in Brussels and Paris, officials were hesitant to make connections to ISIS.

"Western officials really believed until 2014 that ISIS was the 'JV team,'" IPT reported, referring to President Obama's early assessment when the terrorist group first appeared. "As a result, the West has become much more vulnerable to the stronger Islamist terror threat," the report concluded.

IPT predicts fatal terrorist attacks will grow worse, spreading into more parts of the world during the next two years. This graph actually ranks the terror groups based on which ones have made the most deadly attacks.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to an Islamic charity with alleged ties to two well-known Islamic terrorist groups.

According to the Daily Caller, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services sent funds to the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) to help fight infectious diseases.

But the United Arab Emirates and Israel banned IRW, alleging that they support Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

CBN News has long reported on these two terror groups, click on these links for two of those reports from the CBN News archives on the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
