CBN.comDALLAS, TX (ANS) -- He’s the brother of Alec Baldwin and is known for his role as a career criminal in The Usual Suspects and more recently as part of the cast of ABC’s reality show “Celebrity Mole”. But Stephen Baldwin believes his most important role in life is as a born-again Christian.

Baldwin is deeply involved in a couple of Christian-themed DVDs of skateboarders and BMX riders called Livin’ It and Livin’ It: Unusual Suspects.

In an interview at the NRB 2006 in Dallas, Texas, recently, Baldwin talked about his projects.

“I have been working with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association and now have my own skateboard ministry as a partnership with Palau,” he began. “I’ve been traveling the United States, and we have this new outreach to the youth called Livin’ It. Palau’s son, Kevin and I decided that we were going to try to create an opportunity for a television special, and we have interviewed some key people like Luis, myself, and my sister-in-law Chynna Phillips, and then we created this TV special that’s real contemporary with very high-value production values. It’s a great TV special; already, we’ve had tremendous success with it.

Stephen Baldwin directing 'Livin' It'“It’s already been broadcast on television over a dozen times on various dates, but now we’ve converted the whole TV special into an audio thing that we’re now going to release as a radio special, so it’ll be like a one-hour radio special with the entire story of how God has impacted these four different lives.”

I then told him that I understood he was going to do another special called Livin’ It: LA.

“Yes, that’s the next one. The name Livin’ It came to be when we first did a skateboard video as an outreach to the youth. It exploded and we distributed 150,000 of these skate DVDs that the kids were going crazy for, and it’s got an amazing message of the Good News involved with it. Now we have the second installment of the skate video coming out in about the next three months, which we shot it in Los Angeles; it’s called Livin’ It: LA. It’s a skate video; some of the top skateboarders in the world are participating in this next one.

I concluded by asking Stephen Baldwin what his brother Alec, made of his activities.

He smiled and said, “In the Livin’ It TV special my brother Alec was gracious enough to be interviewed, and he said that the one thing that he really admires about my walk with the Lord is that he sees a continuous, constant, more and more gradual focus and attention that I give to it, and that impresses him. So you know what the Bible says, it says, 'The last shall be first and the first shall be last,' so let’s keep praying for him.”
