They demonstrate leadership every day through selfless service — an indispensible attribute of leaders.
Nurses interact intimately with patients, and they are the eyes, ears and hands of the hospitals and offices where they work. Whether in the emergency room, labor and delivery, post-surgical recovery or anywhere else in the healthcare field, nurses are the contact points between patient and institution. Although a hospital can be a very trying and emotionally exhausting place for patients and their families, nurses work tirelessly, with grace and poise, to ease the experience. Their specialized skill set and nuanced attention make a difference daily.
