It's All About the Bangs

By Andrea Stephens
Author and Beauty Editor for BRIO Magazine

Bangs are a simple way to update your ‘do.'

With bangs, it’s practically anything goes! Here are some different styles you might consider:

Straight Across: Chopping your bangs straight across is the classic look. It goes great with the traditional bob (all one length, no layers). Choose a long bang or short bang to make this pop.

Arched: Here the bangs are rounded evenly on both sides with the center being the shortest spot.

Thick or Thin: If you have thick, full hair, your bangs the same. It does give a heavy look to the bangs. You can get the bangs thinned allowing some of the forehead to be seen which gives a light, wispy feel to the look.

Angled: Hair is parted to one side (like permanently, you really can’t switch sides with this bang), then angled beginning closest to the part. The severity of the angle will depend on how much funk you want!

Micro: These mini-bangs look great with an ultra-close cut or modern-day pixie (one inch all the day around).
