From Depression to Peace

Karine, a 17 yr old with a new lease on life
You wouldn't think to look at the picture of this beautiful, young girl from Armenia that just a year ago, she was in a spiral of depression from which there seemed no escape.

Her father had been killed in a terrible car accident and her mother became a recluse, depressed and unable to care for her daughter. Not knowing how to cope with all of this Karine became depressed herself, suffered from migraine headaches and would pass out.

Things changed when Karine met Malina, a young woman who had also lost her father and could understand the pain that Karine was going through. She invited Karine to Orphan's Promise training center where she made new friends, learned about the love of Jesus and wound up giving her life to Christ.

After much prayer, her migraines and fainting spells also passed and today she is healthy and whole with new friends and hope for the future.

"When I returned home that day, after giving my life to Jesus I knew that my life now had meaning, that I had a loving and caring father once again and that I could trust Him with my life."

Karine prayed for and found a job to meet her basic needs while continuing to attend the training center with Malina. These girls are now reaching out to other youth coming into the training center to understand how much God loves them and has a plan and purpose for their lives.

Thanks to your support, Orphan's Promise training centers like this one in Armenia are affecting the lives of hundreds of vulnerable youth like Karine who are at a pivotal point in their lives, choosing which path they will travel.
