Director of Orphan's Promise
With God, Nothing is Impossible
Posted: February 7, 2011

Here’s an exciting update from our dear friends and co-workers, the Krause family. Their hard work at the MICS School in Zambia is an ongoing effort that Orphan’s Promise has been helping with. Here’s the latest installment from Ronda:

MICS started the 2011 school year a few weeks ago in the MICS Boarding House One building. Today Feb 1st we opened our new school building with a grand birthday party celebration. MICS opened with 10 first graders in 2006 in a borrowed room at the Brethren In Christ Mission Hospital Campus. Today we opened our new school classrooms with 100 children in grades Reception to Grade 6. Each class has a beautiful spacious room to spread out in and enjoy.

The MICS theme for 2011 is from Luke 1:37. "With God Nothing is Impossible". The teachers and students planned and presented a wonderful program that praised the Lord and thanked Him for the many blessing He has given MICS. Truly this school building would not have been possible without God. It is indeed a miracle!

We sang "Onward Christian Soldiers" , with our flags, banners and balloons waving as we marched to the new building ..... each class then sang, prayed and praised the Lord in their new classroom. Finally, Birthday cake was then enjoyed by all.

Classes will begin to move tomorrow and one class will move each day. Please pray for us as we make this wonderful transition.

Thank you Ronda, for the wonderful news about the new school, and all of the children who will now be able to attend classes. An education is of utmost importance to these children, without it, they have very little hope for a future.
