This was the case with two little boys, ages five months and 1 ½ years old who were brought to Gerel Children’s Place three years ago. The older boy was undersized and could not even stand on his feet.
The parents had divorced and the mother was living in poverty and could not care for the boys, even though she would visit when she could.
Three years later, the story is a different one. The children have flourished under the care of the orphanage and are thriving. The father quit drinking, the parents have been reunited and the mother has claimed she knows about Jesus. The Gerel Children’s Place has impressed upon them the importance of being a united family with Christ at the center and that they need to bring the boys to church.
In June, Gerel Children’s Place will have a special bible school for kids and they will try to have the boys come for that week. Thank you for supporting our orphanage…these boys and their parents have truly experienced God’s rescuing power in their lives.
I just love a happy ending – don’t you? Thanks OP family for helping to keep families together!
