![]() The beautiful Boloroo, God’s special helper. |
Boloroo is only 21 years old and her childhood was quite similar to those she now serves. She came from one of the poorest families in Ulaan Baatar. Her parents worked as guards for an apartment building…guards at just one of six entrances to the building. The guards were given a small 3 x 5 foot room to live in. There was not enough room for Boloroo who had to sleep in an old cardboard apple box in one of the stairwells.
Nothing in her past (including poor, uneducated parents and 2 older brothers who drink) would indicate that this young woman would “make it”. But Jesus intervened through some neighbors who invited her to church and now the saving grace that changed her life is changing others through her ministry. Boloroo finished only the 8th grade but God made a way for her to go to a local bible school where she completed the course. God is preparing and using her in His kingdom.
Boloroo volunteered for quite some time with other youth at her church to serve hot meals 2 to 3 times weekly. She worked for a year without any pay, but beginning in April 2011, thanks to Orphan’s Promise, she was blessed with a salary. It is well earned. The fruit of her labor is evident in the lives of children that no one else cares about. Boloroo also provides for herself and her family. This is a young woman whose heart is after Jesus. She loves poor children because she was first loved by God.
The Mongolian Asia Reach Community Center say “thank you, Orphan’s Promise,” for helping to expand and ensure the future of this project. God has an awesome plan and with your help we will see it unfold through Boloroo and others.
I love this example of “paying it forward”, don’t you? Thanks for helping to make it happen.
(Orphans Promise provided $1,500 to help set up bathroom facilities and prepare a community center that reaches out to 30-40 street children in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.)
