Many consider Italy to be one of the foremost vacation spots in the world. However, underneath all that beauty lie the same problems that face so much of the world today. While the northern parts of the country prosper, the south, including Sicily, suffers from high unemployment, organized crime, a dependence on a shaky welfare system, poverty, street children and orphans. When we were invited to see the needs here, we realized we must help.

Orphan’s Promise has begun work in Italy by providing a much-needed van for a Catholic orphanage, providing educational opportunities for orphans who would ordinarily age-out of their orphanages and eventually find their way to the streets

Our plan is to continue to aid orphanages as their requests reach us. We want to expand our educational efforts for these children and to help them find their place in society.
