Summer 2010 - Update from one of the agencies that we partner with:
Thank you very much for CBN's faithful support of the Blessing Motorcycle Wash & Oil change Center in Da Nang, Viet-Nam. Two new boys, Hiep and Thuong will be coming into work and live there very soon. I know more needy boys will be coming in this summer.
Pray that we can be a real blessing to the boys and that the new boys would also come to put their faith in the Lord Jesus as they have contact with SEAR christian staff.
There is alot to do this summer in Viet-Nam. We can only do all that has been requested by the Lord's blessing and help. Money is important, but more important still is God's Holy Spirit working in the lives and hearts of the young boys and girls that SEAR serves and helps.

Vietnam is a densely-populated developing country that in the last 30 years has had to struggle to recover from the ravages of war, the loss of financial support from the former Soviet Bloc, and the rigidity of a centrally-planned economy. Vietnam has moved to implement the reform needed to modernize their economy and continue to move the country forward.
Deep poverty keeps a large percentage of the population trapped in a cycle with no apparent end.
The problem of poverty has lead to a rise in the number of orphans and vulnerable children, homelessness and infectious disease.
Orphan’s Promise is at present supporting two orphanages in Vietnam and a life skills and training program for boys.
Major Issues
- Orphans
- Poverty
- Infectious diseases
