CBN.com — Arit is a very active woman. After many years of pain and suffering, she's happy to be alive!
"When I lost my husband and children, I was left all alone. I became very unhappy and had nothing to do," says Arit.
After her husband and children all died from undiagnosed diseases, Arit's sister-in-law took her in. Arit didn't want to be a burden, so she worked on farms to earn money. One day while she was working, she felt a terrible pain.
"It started with a sharp pain in my chest then it went to my back. Soon, my heart began to beat very fast," says Arit.
She bought some pain medication by the roadside, but it didn't help. The pain became so intense Arit couldn't do anything.
"I got very worried. I was afraid I might end up just like my late husband and children. I thought about them every day and that made me feel very sick," says Arit.
Arit had never been able to afford to see a doctor. So when the town crier announced a CBN medical team was coming to their village for a free clinic, she knew she had to go.
Tests revealed Arit had high blood pressure and diabetes. She was given the right medication, and told she needed to do something less strenuous than farm work. Because she needed to earn a living, CBN surprised her with a business of her own, a small grocery store.
"Thank you CBN for your help. Now Mama Arit can rest from her hard work. We are very grateful," says Arit's sister-in-law.
"I want to say a very big thank you to God for bringing CBN my way. My life is so much better now. I am very happy. From my heart, I say thank you and may God bless you richly," says Arit.
