CBN.com — Shula and her husband are farmers in a small village in western India. They spent most of their day getting water for themselves and their cattle.
“We have to walk to a village that is two miles away,” Shula explains. “It takes us several hours. We stop at least three times coming back with the water, since the pots are so heavy.”
Pastor Nayak visited from time to time to share the Gospel with them.
“When I found out that their village didn’t have a good source of drinking water, I contacted CBN’s Living Water’s team,” Pastor Nayak says. “Soon they arrived with their drilling equipment.”
The well was dedicated to Jesus Christ.
“My husband and I know it was Jesus who gave us this well,” Shula says. “We are so thankful that he made it possible for us to get water in our village.”
Shula and her husband became Christians and were baptized.
“My husband and I now go to church and pray together,” she says. “The well opened our hearts to Jesus and filled our lives with joy.”
