CBN.com —For years, Jose worked as a brick mason on jobs outside his country. Unfortunately when those jobs ended, he was unable to find work in his hometown of Veracruz Mexico.
“I tried for several years to find a job here,” said Jose. “I was struggling to buy food for my family.”
When Jose’s wife Conchita realized how desperate their situation was, she wanted to help.
“I decided to learn how to make beach sandals to sell for a few pesos,” Conchita said.
So CBN's Operation Blessing took Conchita shopping and bought her everything she needed to make sandals to sell.
“I couldn’t believe they gave us so much material. I made lots of sandals right away. I was very excited,” she said with a smile!
Conchita makes beautiful hand crafted sandals, and her husband sells them to tourists at a beach resort near their home.
“Now we make and sell a variety of sizes and colors to please our new clients,” Jose said.
"I give thanks to God first and then to Operation Blessing. God bless you!” added Conchita.
