CBN.com —Adrian is only seven-years-old, but very mature for his age. He knows all too well the challenges facing his parents.
“My dad works as a driver’s assistant collecting money from passengers for the van owner. My mom sells candies and breakfast porridge. But they don’t make enough money and I worry a lot."
Adrian’s dad never finished school and his low paying job was the only one he could find. He works 15 hours a day and only earns about $10.
Adrian remembers the time when his dad’s income didn’t stretch far enough.
“My little brother was sick and my mom didn't have money to buy the medicine. We didn’t have any money to buy food.”
Adrian is the only Christian in his family. He goes to a Bible Club every Saturday near his home. He remembered the prayer he used to pray for his family.
“I prayed: ‘Dear God, please help our family to make enough so we can eat and I can keep going to school.’”
CBN's Operation Blessing set up a small store for Adrian’s mom right next to their home. Here they sell notebooks, school supplies and other household items. Adrian loves helping his mom in the store after school.
“Thanks Operation Blessing for helping my family,” said the youngster with a smile.
