Stanley and Donna Lind were good friends before they married.
“I was praying for him about a year and a half, that God would send him a woman that would love him and that would understand him and that could bless him,” says Donna. “And several years later, it turned out to be me!”
Even before their marriage, both were CBN partners and big fans of the ministry. So when they were invited to a conference for partners, they decided to marry at The Founders Inn and Spa and spend their honeymoon at CBN.
“We have found that CBN is one of the most well-rounded ministries – where we are sure where the money is going to, because we’ve gone to the 700 Club,” says Donna.
They increased their giving that weekend and gave a special donation to help spread the Gospel in China.
“My wife and I looked at each other, and we came up with this number of $3,000 together,” says Stanley.
A few months later, a windstorm destroyed an old barn on their property. They really didn’t use the barn, so they decided to use any insurance money to make improvements on their house. The claims adjuster gave them $30,000!
The Linds knew that the $30,000 was their ten-fold blessing from the gift they sowed into the 700 Club on their honeymoon!
“Thank you, Jesus. I could not believe it! It was such a blessing,” says Stanley.
The Linds sold that house for a big profit. And, not only were they able to buy their new house on 24 acres, they paid off all their debt as well.
Stanley encourages others to step out in faith through giving. “You can’t out-give God. He says: Prove Me when it comes to giving. And we test Him all the time − and He just knocks our socks off. If you don’t step out and give, you won’t get blessed.”
