Larry Meigs worked as a franchise consultant for years. When his business fell into a slump, Larry wasn’t sure where to turn for help. The Meigs had no income, and the bills kept coming.
“In the mid ‘90’s my consulting business really fell apart,” says Larry. “It didn’t take long for us to really go into a financial meltdown. Our credit card debt far exceeded any savings that we had — somewhere near $100,000 in credit card debt.”
Larry’s wife, Gina, was worried.
“I’d see him, at times, be really down and concerned, overwhelmed by what was happening,” she says. “I just felt a call in my heart that I was supposed to take a step in faith.”
So Larry gave $5,000 out of his savings to a charity. Then something amazing happened.
“Out of the blue one day, I got a call from someone I had never met who started talking about private duty, non-medical home care business. As soon as I heard about it I knew I could picture us involved in it,” says Larry.
The idea stuck a chord. Larry’s father spent his last days in a nursing home because they didn’t know about home healthcare.
It took Larry time to put together the right team, but Visiting Angels now has 340 franchises in 45 states. It’s one of the top home healthcare franchises in the nation!
“Both Larry and I really believe that this business, Visiting Angels, was orchestrated by God,” says Gina.
“He knew that He had to let me get virtually to rock bottom so that I would know where the help was coming from,” adds Larry.
Today the Meigs are completely out of debt. They are also CBN partners.

The Lord does honor your baby steps and adolescent steps and meets you where you are. The Lord does not abandon you to do it by yourself.
