I fell in love with Michael the first week I saw him.  We became friends (as he started dating my roommate). However, after a few months they realized they were not meant for each other.  I knew I should not chase him, so I kept a journal sharing with the Lord how much I loved this man.  As weeks grew into months, Michael and I were becoming really good friends AND FINALLY he asked me to attend a concert with him.  We had a great time and went dancing afterwards.  After we said good night, I could not go to sleep.  I was so excited!  For six weeks, we would walk and talk almost every day.  Then, one evening Michael bent down on one knee and proposed marriage to me.  I said, "Let me give you an answer tomorrow"  I was so excited and scared at the same time.  The next day I did say yes, and we have now been married almost 22 years. We have much to be thankful for - including our dear sweet daughter, Gabriella.

I remember the exact moment, I knew I loved Brent. It was our first date and we started off with a walk to the lake. We had sat at a bench for awhile and just started sharing about each others lives. As he was talking all I could hear for a moment was my own voice saying, "I want to spend the rest of my life taking care of him.” We were married eight months later and I fell in love again as we said our vows to each other. I find I keep falling in love with him as I see him take on different roles. I love him as my first love, my husband, the father of our children and as I watch him in his dealings with others. Just about a year ago he started going to church and allowing God to work on him. I have to honestly say at that moment my heart was completely captured in a way I had never known. This July 17, we will be renewing our vows after twelve years. I consider myself extremely blessed to marry the man that I know I was created for and destined to love.

We met in January of 1977, and married on October 1, 1977. Standing, singing in the choir during worship, I looked out on the packed congregation and saw this glow coming from this lady with her hands raised and her glowing face turned toward Heaven just worshiping the Lord.  I couldn't wait for service to be over so I could go an introduce myself. Then I began to run the other way until one day in August, God stopped me on the side of the road to "TALK" to me and He said "Isn't she just what you prayed for?"
Soooooo, as soon as I got back home I called her and met with her and asked her to marry me. The rest, going on 33 years, is history.  A lot more drama went on in between those dates but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

The Moment I fell in love was one day when my husband had entered my workplace to receive customer service in receiving an ID Card. He had to wait because there were customers first, than him waiting. In the waiting time I just could not believe he had such blue eyes. I just fell in love with him right then. When his turn came I was so nervous but I still did customer service and everytime we look at each other was like we wanted to say many things. But I was at my work place. I felt when he left that I needed to meet him. So, I got his number and then called him for an entire week. He never answered. After a week, on Saturday, he finally picks up the phone. I just did not know what to say but I was brave and let him know who I was. We met, I believe that evening. We got to know each other and have been together since then. We have three beautiful children. Still in love. Love him today more than yesterday.

We were just going to talk ~ That was all it was going to be, a chat.  We met and took a drive to Ocean Beach at the Great Highway and went for a walk.  We talked and walked until it got cold so we headed back to the car.  We talked some more in the car and talk turned into a KISS but the strangest thing happened as soon as we kissed -- a bunch of fireworks blasted off and I thought, WOW, that never happened to me before.  Was it real or what?  We have been together for 10 years now and have three children.  I think maybe it was a sign from God that those fireworks went off like that.  Thats my belief and I'm sticking to it.

The moment that I completely fell head over heels in love with my now husband Bryan, was when we went to church together for the first time. He didn't grow up in a church based family, so it took a little bit of probing to get him to come with me. During service, it was like a light shining bright within him, and when he raised his hand to give thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, that is the moment I fell completely and totally in love with him.

I had almost a lifetime of abuse from men. Then one day the Lord sent an angel into my life. We began a phone relationship on October 23, 2005. On December 12,2005, the Lord spoke to me and said this is the man I have chosen for you. Ralph’s first trip down here to Santa Ana where I lived was, wow, we were standing in a doorway in my house hugging and all of a sudden I saw a wedding, very small, very plain, but what really stood out was the love between us and the people all around us. Oh my goodness, the room was full of love with family and friends that knew my past and how far I had come in my life. We have been married for almost two years now and highly blessed by the Lord. We did not get a honeymoon, but that really didn't matter. We knew and know that we were and are blessed and that was enough.

At age 55 and 61, you are somewhat reserved to the fact that you will be single, but God had a plan for both of us. We were introduced by his cousin and we talked over the phone for about a month and a half. Then, we finally saw each other and the comfortable feeling was even more for me when I saw this wonderful smile appear on his face, I knew this was my husband and he felt the same. We married within six months of our getting introduced and we have been told we beam when we are around each other. God is good!

I moved from Michigan to Columbus, Ohio after college to find a job and change my scenery. I found some new friends, but I started talking to a fellow from Michigan. After talking online and sending packages and letters back and forth for over a year, I finally decided to meet up with him in person. Oddly enough, I had dreams in July of 2004 that I would meet the man I was going to marry by the end of August. Hindsight is 20-20 because Nate showed up at my door on August 28, 2004! We took this photo our first day out, which we quickly realized was a date. The deal was sealed from our second day together. We weren't each other's immediate "type," but I guess sometimes we just don't know our "type" until we see it! We were married in October 2006 and now have a house back in Michigan. We still follow the tradition set on that first day out of taking our own photo whenever we go somewhere new. It has been an amazing (and fun!) six years!

I remember I was dating my husband and we were engaged to be married in a few weeks.  I was sharing a video with him of a past Easter with my daughter and kept trying to fast-forward because I'd lost some weight since then and felt uncomfortable or embarrassed for him to see me like that.  He said, "What are you doing? I'm trying to watch this."  I told him, "well, I look different and was just trying to fast-forward to the good parts."  He looked into my eyes and remarked, "Well maybe you're looking at something different that what I see, something different that what I'm looking at."  I felt genuine love wash over me like a blanket.  For the first time in my life I really felt I'd found someone who loved me for me, not for what I looked like on the outside.  It healed past wounds and solidified my love for him deeper than I can explain.  Truly it was God's kind of love...to love who I am as a person.
