Jim Goll: Pray for the Salvation of Israel

The 700 Club

CBN.com -- The Mordecai Calling

Recently Jim woke up in the middle of the night and heard the voice of the Lord say, "You must pray for the salvation of Israel." Jim says that the voice was clear and had a sense of urgency. "We are all aware of the escalation of violence in the Middle East," says Jim, "but this word cut to the core of all the political issues." As in all wars, peoples’ lives are being lost on both sides. However, we do not wrestle again flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness.

"Our intercessory battle is against the demonic price of Persia, fueled by the spirit of antichrist and anti-Semitism, which has always hated Jewish people. We must realize that the goal of Islam is not to stop until the national entity of Israel is destroyed," says Jim.

On Easter 1999, Jim heard from the Lord that "the hunters" would be released in 18 months. Today’s present violence began a week short of 18 months later and has now already lasted for 18 months. On the morning of the terrorist attacks in September, Jim says the voice of the Lord came to him saying, "The hunters have just been released." Jim did not know what this was in reference to until he turned on the TV and saw the attacks.

Jim says there are two things we must pray for:

  1. Pray for protection. New York City is the largest Jewish city in the world. "Is it any wonder that New York City is called the Big Apple when Zechariah 2:8 declares that Israel is the "apple of God’s eye"?
  2. The salvation of Israel. No man can come to the Father except through the Son. Pray that the blinders fall off the Jewish people’s eyes so they may behold the beauty of the Lord and call out to Him to save them.

The Mordecai Calling

Jim says there is a dark spirit of anti-Semitism, or what may be called "the spirit of Haman," named after the man who plotted to exterminate the Jewish people in the book of Esther. "This ancient spirit of genocide still lives," says Jim. "It yields only to the power of God, and that power can only be released by a people who pray, fast and put themselves at risk for the sake of His covenant people." Esther, tutored by her cousin Mordecai, seized the moment through prayer and fasting, launching an all-out appeal to the king for the deliverance of the Jews from their enemy. Esther was anointed to intervene, but she had to walk in cooperation with Mordecai, the spiritual authority God placed in her life. It is the responsibility of this generation to step forward and prepare Esther (the Church) for her greatest hour of selfless intercession for Jewish people.

Jim believes the spirit of Haman has loosed a fresh plot to destroy Jews today and believes God is seeking Mordecais and Esthers to step forward. "God is offering an opportunity for the Body of Christ to arise," says Jim. "A window of opportunity has opened, enabling the Church to rewrite history before the throne of God!"

Jim believes this is a more dangerous time for Jews than in Hitler’s era. Some of the nations that were once part of the Communist empire are now in the hands of radical Muslim leaders. "They have the potential to become virtual powder kegs of violence against the Jewish people," says Jim.
