Reporter: IN "MOMS'

NIGHT OUT", ELFE ELFEN AND

HER FRIENDS WANT AN EVENING

OF ADULT CONVERSATION.

BUT IN ORDER TO ENJOY A TIME

AWAY, THEY NEED THEIR

HUSBANDS TO WATCH THE KIDS

FOR A FEW HOURS.

WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING.

FOR SARAH JU, PLAYING A

STRESSED OUT MOM IN NEED OF

A BREAK WASN'T A REACH.

IT IS HILARIOUS BECAUSE

YOU'RE GOING, I JUST HAD

THAT CONVERSATION,

LITERALLY, TWO NIGHTS AGO

WITH MY HUSBAND, EXACTLY

LIKE THAT.

YOU KNOW?

AND THAT'S -- WHAT'S

WONDERFUL IS WE'RE ABLE TO

LAUGH AT OURSELVES.

Reporter: THE MESSAGE

IN "MOMS' NIGHT OUT" IS

ABOUT AFFIRMING AND

CELEBRATING MOMS FOR WHO

THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY DO.

IT IS A MESSAGE THAT COMES

ACROSS WITH LOTS OF LAUGHTER

AND HEART.

BROTHERS JOHN AND ANDREW

IRWIN DIRECTED THE

FAMILY-FRIENDLY COMEDY.

I WANTED SOMETHING THAT

WAS RELATABLE AT THE CORE.

BUT THE IDEA OF PARENTING,

AND THEN PUTTING A LAYER OF

HYSTERIA ON TOP OF THAT WAS

A REAL TREAT.

EVERY MINUTE YOU SPEND

WITH YOUR CHILD, EVEN IF

THEY'RE THROWING A FIT, OR

THEY'RE WRITING ON THE WALL,

ALL THESE THINGS THAT HAVE

HAPPENED TO ME, IT IS

BEAUTIFUL AND IT IS WORTH

IT.

Reporter: ACTRESS

ANDREA LOGAN CAME UP WITH

THE IDEA FOR THE FILM AFTER

BECOMING A NEW MOM.

THE GIFTS OF BEING A

MOTHER IS THAT GOD HAS GIVEN

US THIS.

HE HAS TRUSTED US TO TAKE

CARE OF THESE LITTLE SOULS

YOU CAN'T WALK AWAY FROM.

IT IS SUCH A LESSON OF

SELFLESSNESS, AND KNOWING

THAT THE FRUIT WILL

EVENTUALLY SHOW AND RIPEN.

Reporter: KEVIN AND

ALEX, OF "COURAGEOUS" FAME,

ARE ALSO PART OF THE CAST.

PARENTHOOD, THERE ARE A

LOT OF FUNNY THINGS.

MY KIDS WILL SAY THINGS I

THINK ARE HYSTERICAL.

AND THAT'S A LOT OF WHAT'S

IN "MOMS' NIGHT OUT."

MEN WILL SEE CHARACTERS

IN THIS MOVIE AND SAY, OKAY,

I'M ASHAMED TO SAY I'VE DONE

THAT, AND I NEED TO DO MORE

OF THAT.

THERE ARE GREAT EXAMPLES OF

WHAT TO DO AND NOT DO IN

THIS FILM.

Reporter: WE KNOW

PATRICIA HEATON FROM

"EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND,"

AND IN THIS FILM, SHE TAKES

THE ROLE OF A PASTOR'S

WIFE.

WHAT WAS INTERESTING

ABOUT THIS IS THAT THE OTHER

GALS IN THE MOVIE, THE

YOUNGER MOMS, LOOK UP TO HER

AND THINK SHE HAS IT ALL

TOGETHER.

AND SHE SAYS, IT'S NOT

REALLY THAT WAY.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME

ANYBODY HAS EVER INVITED ME

OUT TO DO A NIGHT LIKE

THIS.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS SO

TOUCHING.

I HAD REALLY NEVER THOUGHT

ABOUT PASTORS' WIVES IN THAT

WAY.

Reporter: "MOMS' NIGHT

OUT" ALSO SHOWS THE

IMPORTANCE OF SPECIAL

MOMMY-DADDY TIME, WITH

WHOLESOME PASSION BETWEEN

ELFEN AND HIS HUSBAND.

MY CHARACTER IS THE

HUSBAND, WHO MAKES IT

TOTALLY EASY FOR HER TO LOOK

AFTER HERSELF.

LET ME SAY IT AGAIN.

I PLAY THE HUSBAND WHO,

DESPITE HIS BEST EFFORTS TO

BE THOUGHTFUL AND MINDFUL OF

HIS WIFE'S NEEDS, COMES UP A

LITTLE SHORT SOMETIMES.

AS MANY FATHERS ARE.

Reporter: "MOMS' NIGHT

OUT" IS FILLED WITH LOVE,

LAUGHS, AND FAITH, AS IT

CELEBRATES THE BEAUTIFUL

MESS CALLED APPARENTLY.
