700 Club Interactive: Meet the Daultons – October 19, 2015

A remarkable family who adopt special needs children from around the world demonstrate what it really means to be the “hands and feet of Christ”. Read Transcript

Andrew: A LARGE

BLENDED FAMILY.

WE NEVER, EVER PLANNED

TO HAVE 15.

THREE WAS A DISTINCT

POSSIBILITY.

FIVE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE.

Andrew: WITH NINE

ADOPTED KIDS WITH SPECIAL

NEEDS.

IT WAS A REAL SHOCK.

IT THREW US FOR A LOOP.

WE WEREN'T SURE WHAT THAT

MEANT.

Andrew: MEET THE

AMAZING DUALTON FAMILY.

THIS MONTH MARKS DOWN

SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH.

IT IS A CHANCE TO SPREAD

AWARENESS AND CELEBRATE

THE 400,000 AMERICANS THAT

HAVE THE MOST COMMON

GENETIC CONDITION IN THE

U.S.

Terry: JANE AND DAVID

WERE SHOCKED WHEN THEY

GAVE BIRTH TO A SON WITH

DOWN SYNDROME, BUT THEY

SAY GOD USED THAT

EXPERIENCE TO SHOW THEM

THE INCREDIBLE VALUE OF

THEIR CHILD.

THEY WENT ON TO ADOPT NINE

CHILDREN, ALL WITH SPECIAL

NEEDS.

HEARTBREAK, CHAOS, AND

LOVE ALL FILL THEIR HOME,

AND THEY WOULDN'T HAVE IT

ANY OTHER WAY.

WE NEVER, EVER PLANNED

TO HAVE 15.

THREE WAS A DISTINCT

POSSIBILITY.

FIVE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE.

WHEN TOMMY WAS BORN, IT

WAS A REAL SHOCK.

HE HAD DOWN SYNDROME, AND

IT THREW US FOR A LOOP.

WE WEREN'T SURE WHAT THAT

MEANT.

WE WEREN'T SURE WHAT THE

FUTURE MEANT, BUT WE KNEW

IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT

WE PLANNED.

THE FIRST YEAR WE PRAYED

THAT GOD WOULD HEAL HIM OF

DOWN SYNDROME.

BUT WE HAD TO FIGHT FOR

TOMMY'S LIFE.

HE DIDN'T HAVE GOOD MUSCLE

TONE.

HE WENT INTO FULL CARDIAC

ARREST WHEN HE WAS ABOUT

SIX YEARS OLD.

WE HAD TO RESUSCITATE HIM

SEVERAL TIMES WHEN HE WAS

IN THE HOSPITAL.

YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU'RE

FIGHTING FOR YOUR CHILD'S

LIFE, IT BONDS YOU.

IT'S OKAY.

NOW HIS LIFE IS SO

PRECIOUS.

IT DRIVES IT HOME WHEN YOU

SEE HIM TURNING GREY AND

BLUE AND YOU DON'T KNOW IF

HE IS GOING TO LIVE TO

MAKE IT TO THE HOSPITAL.

FOR GOD TO HEAL TOMMY OF

DOWN SYNDROME IS LIKE

PRAYING HE WOULD NO LONGER

BE TOMMY.

WE ARE HAPPY WITH WHO HE

IS.

WE DECIDED OUR FAMILY WAS

COMPLETED AT THAT TIME.

WE HAD FOUR BOYS AND A

GIRL.

BRIAN WENT IN FOR

ELECTIVE SURGERY, AND HE

WAS JUST FOUR YEARS OLD,

AND HE HAD A REACTION TO

THE ANSWE ANESTHESIA THAT WAS

USED.

HE WAS IN A COMA FOR THREE

DAYS AND HE DIED.

HIS DEATH REALLY SHOOK US

UP.

EVEN NOW, 30 YEARS LATER,

IT BRINGS TEARS TO OUR

EYES.

BECAUSE YOU'RE ALWAYS A

MOTHER.

ABOUT FIVE YEARS DOWN THE

ROAD, I HAD A DREAM ABOUT

A BABY, AND THAT BABY HAD

DOWN SYNDROME, AND THAT

BABY NEEDED A HOME.

I HAD THAT DREAM THREE

NIGHTS IN A ROW.

I FIGURED I BETTER PAY

ATTENTION TO THAT DREAM.

WE CALLED THE AGENCY,

AND THEY SAID WE'VE GOT A

CLASS STARTING IN, LIKE,

SIX MONTHS.

WE'RE ALL FILLED UP.

AND THEY CALLED US UP AND

SAID WE HAD A

CANCELLATION, AND CAN YOU

COME TONIGHT.

IT WAS ABOUT THE TIME BEN

WAS CONCEIVED.

AND WE ADOPTED HIM, AND HE

WAS JUST A FEW WEEKS OLD,

AND IT WAS LIKE HE WAS

MEANT TO BE OUR SON.

WHEN THEY TOLD US ABOUT

HIM, THEY SAID, HE DOES

HAVE A HEART PROBLEM PROBLEM;

WOULD YOU STILL TAKE HIM?

AND GOD SAID, WILL YOU

TRUST ME?

AND I SAID, SURE.

AND AT SEVEN MONTHS

THEY DID THE SURGERY, AND

THEY FOUND OUT HE DIDN'T

REALLY HAVE A MITRAL VALVE

AND THEY HAD TO TRY TO

CREATE ONE.

THEY KEPT HIM PARALYZED

FOR A WEEK TO SEE IF HE

WAS GOING TO SURVIVE.

THAT DAY, WE SENSED AT THE

SEVENTH DAY HIS SPIRIT MAN

STOOD UP AND SAID, I'M

GOING TO MAKE IT.

10 MINUTES LATER, THE

DOCTOR CAME IN AND SAID,

THE LABS ARE THE SAME, I

DON'T SEE ANY CHANGES, BUT

I HAD THIS FEELING HE WAS

TURNING THE CORNER.

WHEN YOU'VE LOST A

CHILD, YOU'RE WONDERING

ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

I WAS.

NOT EVERYBODY.

SOME PEOPLE ARE REALLY

GOOD CHRISTIANS.

THEY HAVE REALLY STRONG

FAITH.

NOT ME.

I WAS NOT EVEN SPEAKING TO

GOD WHEN BRIAN DIED.

I WAS REALLY TICKED.

THIS IS FIVE YEARS LATER,

BUT, STILL, TO BELIEVE IN

HEALING AGAIN, WHEN YOU'VE

BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED.

YEAH, WE LEARNED TO TRUST

AGAIN.

THEY TOLD US HE HAD A

5% CHANCE OF LIVING TO AGE

10, AND HE IS 25.

AND HE IS DOING PRETTY

WELL.

HE SURPRISED THEM ALL,

DEFIED THE ODDS.

BUT AFTER HE GOT

BETTER, WE JUST GOT AN

URGE TO ADOPT AGAIN.

THE AGENCY CONTACTED US

RIGHT AROUND THAT TIME AND

SAID THEY HAD THIS LITTLE

GIRL WITH DOWNS FROM

ETHIOPIA.

WE WENT UP TO SEE HER AND

JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH

HER.

SO WE GOT OUR EMILY AND

WE WERE BOTH THRILLED.

AND WE THOUGHT, OKAY,

WE'VE GOT A BUDDY FOR TOM,

AND WE'VE GOT ANOTHER

SISTER FOR LIZ SO SHE IS

NOT THE ONLY GIRL.

AND THEN WE HEARD ABOUT

DANIEL.

AND HE HAD MULTIPLE,

MULTIPLE SEVERE MEDICAL

PROBLEMS.

WE ADOPTED HIM IN THE

HOSPITAL AND HE DIED NINE

MONTHS AFTER HE CAME HOME.

THAT WAS REAL TOUGH.

THE LOSS OF A SECOND

CHILD, WE KNEW A LITTLE

BIT MORE OF WHAT TO

EXPECT, BUT IT ALSO

BROUGHT BACK ALL OF THE

MEMORIES OF BRIAN.

AND WE WERE -- WE DREW IN.

AND WE WENT ON A FAMILY

VACATION THE NEXT AUGUST,

AND WE WENT TO VISIT

EMILY'S FOSTER MOM, AND

SHE SAID, THERE IS THIS

GIRL WITH DOWN SYNDROME.

IF WE HAD GONE STRAIGHT

HOME, WE NEVER WOULD HAVE

KNOWN ABOUT LANIE AND WE

NEVER WOULD HAVE MET HER.

AND WE MET THROUGH A

MUTUAL FRIEND OF OURS, A

COUPLE FROM UKRAINE, WHO

WENT OVER TO ADOPT FROM

UKRAINE.

UKRAINE WAS JUST STARTING

TO OPEN UP FOR NATIONAL

ADOPTIONS.

AND THEY NEEDED A LAWYER.

AND SO IT MADE SENSE.

HE FOUND WHEN HE WENT TO

THE GOVERNMENT BUILDING

THAT HANDLES ADOPTIONS FOR

ALL OF UKRAINE, I LOOKED

THROUGH THE SCRAP BOOKS OF

ALL OF THE GRAINY PICTURES

THAT WERE READY FOR

ADOPTION, AND HE SAID,

WHERE ARE THE KIDS WITH

DOWN SYNDROME?

AND THEY SAID, WHO WOULD

WANT THEM?

AND HE SAID, WE WOULD.

AND MANY OTHER AMERICANS

WOULD, TOO.

AND THEY SAID, WHY IS

THIS?

AND DAVID MADE MANY TRIPS

OVER TO UKRAINE AND SHOWED

THESE KIDS ABOUT THEIR

VALUE.

WHEN YOU WALK INTO AN

ORPHANAGE OF 80 KIDS THAT

JUMP ON YOUR LAP AND TUG

ON YOU AND CALL YOU MAMA

AND PAPA, AND SAY, WILL

YOU TAKE ME HOME?

WILL YOU TAKE ME HOME?

AND THEN YOU TELL THEM,

AND THEY'RE ALREADY

DEALING WITH REJECTION.

THEY'RE ALREADY DEALING

WITH THE FACT THAT THEY

HAVE NO PARENTS.

AND YOU TELL THEM THAT

THERE IS A FATHER IN

HEAVEN THAT LOVES THEM,

AND THAT WILL NEVER LEAVE

THEM OR FORSAKE THEM, AND

YOU SHARE WITH THEM THE

FATHER'S HEART OF GOD, IT

CHANGES THEIR LIVES SO

IMMENSELY.

SO THEY DECIDED AT SOME

POINT TO REALLY GO THROUGH

THOSE STEPS TO GET THESE

KIDS MADE AVAILABLE.

AND WHEN THAT HAPPENED,

DAVID SAID, WELL, WE HAVE

TO GO AND ADOPT A CHILD.

WE HAVE TO.

AND SO WE DID THE HOME

STUDY.

WHEN I WENT IN FOR THE

VERY LAST MEETING, THE

WORKER SAID, YOU ARE

APPROVED FOR THREE.

WE WENT OVER TO ADOPT

JACK AND PHILIP, WHO I HAD

KNOWN FOR YEARS, AND THEN

HERE WAS THIS LITTLE GIRL

WE HAD NEVER MET BEFORE.

ANIA WAS THREE WEEKS, AND

WE BROUGHT HER HOME.

ANIA WAS OUR FIRST TO

COME HOME FROM UKRAINE,

AND OUR FIRST CHILD FROM

DOWN SYNDROME THAT HAVE

COME FROM UKRAINE.

WE HAVE FRIENDS WHO

ADOPTED KIDS WITH DOWN

SYNDROME FROM UKRAINE

BECAUSE THEY MET HER.

ONE FAMILY NAMED THEIR

LITTLE GIRL AFTER HER.

SHE WAS AND STILL IS A

TREMENDOUS AMBASSADOR.

AND OUR NEXT TWO ADOPTIONS

WERE WHEN JACK AND PHILIP

WERE FIVE YEARS OLD.

WE TOOK A TRIP TO A

MENTAL INSTITUTION WHERE

OUR KIDS WOULD HAVE GONE

HAD WE NOT GOTTEN THEM.

AND IT WAS HORRIBLE.

MANY, MANY, MANY KIDS DIE

THEIR FIRST YEAR OF A

MENTAL INSTITUTION IN

UKRAINE.

IT CHANGED OUR LIVES

FOREVER.

I THINK I CRIED FOR A HALF

HOUR, AT LEAST, OVER THE

CONDITIONS THERE.

AND WE FELT LIKE WE JUST

CANNOT LEAVE THIS ALONE.

AND SO WE STARTED WORKING

AT THAT ORPHANAGE.

WE WERE THERE ABOUT FOUR

YEARS AGO, AND I SAID TO

THE DIRECTOR -- HER NAME

IS TATIANNA -- HAS ANYONE

EVER ADOPTED FROM HERE?

AND SO TATIANNA LOOKED AT

ME AND SAID, NO, NO ONE

HAS ADOPT FRANCHISE HERE.

FROM HERE.

WE'RE WAITING FOR YOU AND

DAVID.

AND I SAID, WOW.

AND SHE SAID, THERE IS

THIS GIRL, YOU MUST TAKE

HER; SHE NEEDS A FAMILY.

SO WE CAME HOME AND DAVID

SAID, WELL, WE HAVE TO.

WE HAVE TO SEE IF WE CAN

POSSIBLY BE APPROVED FOR

ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL

ADOPTION.

AND WE THOUGHT, NO, WE

WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO.

WE'RE TOO OLD, AND IT HAS

BEEN TOO LONG.

WELL, WE WERE APPROVED.

NOT ONLY FOR ONE, BUT WE

WERE APPROVED FOR TWO.

SO WE WENT FOR MARINA, AND

ONE OF THE TIMES WE

VISITED, THERE WAS MARINA

THERE LOOKING SO PRETTY,

AND THERE WAS THIS LITTLE

GIRL IN BACK OF HER, AN

OLDER GIRL.

AND I WENT OVER AND I

SAID, WHO IS THIS GIRL?

WHO IS THIS PRINCESS?

AND SO THE LIGHT WAS JUST

SHINING ON HER, AND I KNEW

THAT THAT WAS THE OTHER

GIRL.

WE STARTED THE PROCESS FOR

HER PAPERWORK TO BE

REGISTERED SO SHE COULD BE

ADOPTED.

YEAH, THAT WAS OUR MARINA

AND MOLLY.

EVERY TIME WE TAKE AN

ORPHAN, THERE IS ONE LESS

BED FILLED.

THERE ARE 200 MILLION

ORPHANS IN THE WORLD.

BUT THERE ARE FOUR BILLION

CHRISTIANS.

THERE SHOULD NOT BE A

SINGLE ORPHAN'S BED

FILLED.

THEY'VE BEEN IN THIS

PLACE WHERE THEY'VE BEEN

NEGLECTED, AND THEY

BLOSSOM IN FRONT OF YOUR

EYES.

IT IS SO WONDERFUL.

IT IS LIKE SUCH A

PRIVILEGE.

IT'S SUCH A PRIVILEGE.

I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD

HAVE A CHILD WITH DOWN

SYNDROME.

WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT

LOVE FROM THESE CHILDREN.

THEY REALLY LOVE.

THEY REMAIN CHILDREN.

AND THEY SEE LIFE VERY

DIFFERENTLY THAN WE DO.

WE WOULD BE SO MUCH POORER

WITHOUT THEM.

AND THE BIBLE TALKS

FOREVER ABOUT ORPHANS.

THEY ARE CALLED THE

MOTHERLESS AND THE

FATHERLESS.

SO THE SPIRIT OF THE

FATHER'S HEART BECAME REAL

TO ME LIKE IT NEVER HAD

BEFORE, THAT HE IS A

LOVING, LOVING FATHER.

NONE OF THEM ARE LEFT

ALONE, YOU KNOW?

THAT HE IS GOOD; HE IS

FAITHFUL.

[CHEERING]

Terry: THE DAULTON'S

HOME IS A HAPPY, HAPPY,

HAPPY PLACE.

A LITTLE CHAOTIC, BUT

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY.

AND THEIR HEARTS HAVE

BEEN -- I KNOW THEY WOULD

SAY THAT THEIR HEARTS HAVE

BEEN SO TOUCHED AND

CHANGED AND SHAPED BY THE

CHILDREN THAT THEY HAVE

RECEIVED AND LOVED, AND

THAT ARE THEIR OWN.

DAVID IS RIGHT,

ADOPTION -- IF THERE IS

ONE THING ABOUT ADOPTION,

IT IS THAT IT IS SUCH A

PICTURE OF THE FATHER'S

HEART FOR US.

BUT WHEN YOU ADOPT A CHILD

THAT HAS BEEN REJECTED NOT

JUST BY THEIR PARENTS, AND

NOT EVEN JUST BY THEIR

CULTURE, GENERALLY

SPEAKING BY THE WORLD AND

HOW IT FUNCTIONS, THESE

CHILDREN COME INTO THEIR

HOMES SOMETIMES SO NEEDY

BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN

IN ANY WAY STIMULATED OR

TAUGHT THINGS.

IT WASN'T BELIEVED THAT

THEY COULD LEARN.

I SEE THESE CHILDREN IN

THEIR HOME, AND THEY ARE

HEALTHY AND HAPPY AND

HELPING EACH OTHER AND

ADORE THEIR PARENTS.

AND IT IS REALLY SUCH A

FUN PLACE TO BE.

THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING

GOING ON.

I WANT YOU TO KNOW

"ORPHANS' PROMISE" WORKS

WITH DAVE AND JANE BECAUSE

THEIR MINISTRY IS CALLED

"THE FATHER'S HEART."

THEY HAVE TAKEN DOCTORS

AND THERAPISTS AND PEOPLE

WHO ARE DEVELOPMENTAL

SPECIALISTS AND EQUIPMENT

OVER UKRAINE.

NOT ONLY HAVE THEY BEEN

EMPTYING THE BEDS OF THE

ORPHANAGES AND ORPHANAGE

BEDS, BUT THEY HAVE BEEN

TEACHING STAFF IN THESE

PLACES HOW TO HELP

CHILDREN BECOME THE MOST

THEY CAN BE.

THAT'S KIND OF WHAT IT IS

ALL ABOUT, ISN'T IT?

DEVELOPING THE GOD-GIVEN

TALENTS THAT WE HAVE, AND

ALL CHILDREN HAVE THEM.

I LOVE JANE'S DESCRIPTION

OF THE KIDS BECAUSE IT IS

REALLY TRUE.

IT IS LIKE THEY STAY

CHILDREN.

AND THEY LOVE

UNCONDITIONALLY.

AND THEY ACCEPT

COMPLETELY.

AND THEY ARE SO GILELESS,

IT IS REALLY A PLEASURE TO

VISIT THEM AND TO SEE

THEIR SPECIAL KIDS AND TO

SEE THE GREAT LOVE THAT

EXISTS AMONG THEM.

PRETTY SPECIAL.

Andrew: AND WE HAVE A

WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY HERE

BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE

TO SEE THAT STORY, MEET

THAT FAMILY AND NOT BE

TOUCHED AND MOVED.

COMING UP, WE'RE GOING TO

TELL YOU HOW THE DAULTONS

NEED YOUR HELP.

WE HAVE A VAN AND IT

NEEDS SOME REPAIRS.

THE FRONT END HAS A LITTLE

SHAKE, AND THE INTERIOR

HAS BEEN REDONE AS MUCH AS

WE CAN.

Andrew: THIS IS A

GREAT OPPORTUNITY.

WE WANT YOU TO FIND OUT

HOW YOU CAN HELP MAKE THIS

FAMILY'S JOURNEY A LITTLE

EASIER.

THAT'S COMING UP RIGHT

AFTER THIS.

STAY WITH US.

Andrew: AS WE SAW A

FEW MOMENTS AGO, THIS

PRECIOUS FAMILY, THE

DAULTONS, HAVE NINE

CHILDREN AT HOME, ALL WITH

SPECIAL NEEDS.

SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY OF

THEM, THEY CAN'T ALL FIT

INTO ONE CAR.

SO THEY TAKE A VAN AND A

SMALL CAR EVERYWHERE THEY

GO.

BUT "THE 700 CLUB" AND

"ORPHANS' PROMISE" WANTS

TO CHANGE THAT.

TAKE A LOOK.

[CHEERING]

Terry: MEET THE

DAULTONS, A BUSY FAMILY OF

15.

THIS IS MY BABY, WAVE

TO MAMA.

Terry: THE PARENTS

ARE RAISING NINE CHILDREN

WITH DOWN SYNDROME, EIGHT

ADOPTED, AND ONE

BIOLOGICAL CURRENTLY FILL

THEIR HOUSE.

IT IS A HAPPY HOUSE.

WE'RE JUST A WALKING

PARTY.

IT'S A ZOO.

IT'S VERY ANIMATED,

UNPREDICTABLE.

CONTROLLED CHAOS.

Terry: AND THEY DON'T

LET THE CHAOS SLOW THEM

DOWN.

WHERE IS YOUR OTHER

SHOE?

WE DO BOWLING.

WE DO SWIMMING.

WE DO JOYFUL NOISE CLUB AT

A LOCAL CHURCH.

WE'VE GOT TO PACK

DIFFERENT GO BAGS, AND

WE'VE GOT TO MAKE SURE

THEY'RE ALL DRESSED AND

THEY'VE ALL GONE TO THE

BATHROOM OR WHAT HAVE YOU.

Terry: ONCE THEY'VE

MADE IT OUT THE DOOR, THE

REAL CHALLENGE BEGINS.

WE HAVE A VAN, BUT IT

NEEDS SOME REPAIRS.

I THINK IT IS PRETTY MUCH

ON ITS LAST LEGS AT THIS

POINT.

IT IS 13 YEARS OLD.

IT HAS 226,000 MILES ON

IT.

THE FRONT END HAS A LITTLE

SHAKE.

THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN

REDONE AS MUCH AS WE CAN.

THE SEATING IS TOUGH, BUT

IT WAS GREAT WHEN THE KIDS

WERE SMALLER.

WE HAVE 18-YEAR-OLDS

AND KIDS 25 -- THESE ARE

BIG KIDS.

WE HAVE TO TRY TO GET THEM

IN, AND OUR HELPERS, WE

HAVE AT LEAST TWO OR THREE

A DAY.

AND WE ALL CAN'T FIT IN

THE VAN.

IT HAS BEEN A FEW YEARS

SINCE WE'VE ALL BEEN ABLE

TO GO TO A PLACE IN ONE

VEHICLE.

WE HAVE A LITTLE CAR

THAT I WILL DRIVE.

WHO WANTS TO GO IN THE

VAN?

PHILIP AND TAMMY.

SHE HAS TAKEN OVER.

TIMES SHE CAN BE

AGGRESSIVE, AND SHE HAS

TURNED ON SOMEONE NEXT TO

HER BEFORE AND STARTED

SCRATCHING THEM AND

PULLING THEIR HAIR, AND

THINGS LIKE THAT, AND WE

HAVE TO STOP THE CAR.

IT IS NOT SAFE.

THE KIDS NEED TO HAVE

SOME SENSE OF CONTROL OVER

WHO IS SITTING NEXT TO ME

AND HOW CROWDED AM I.

SOME OF OUR KIDS DON'T

REACT REAL WELL TO

OVERSTIMULATION.

Terry: HERE IS WHERE

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

"700 CLUB INTERACTIVE" AND

"ORPHANS' PROMISE" NEED

YOUR HELP TO PURCHASE A

LARGER PASSENGER VAN FOR

THIS WORTHY FAMILY.

IT WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL

BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE

BETTER PHYSICAL

ACCOMMODATION FOR THE

KIDS, AND BETTER SAFETY,

AND IT WON'T BE BREAKING

DOWN ALL OF THE TIME.

WE'D BE ABLE TO TRAVEL

WITHOUT A LOT OF THE

HASSLE OF GETTING THEM IN

AND OUT AND THE LITTLE

NIT-PICKING GOING ON.

IT WOULD CREATE AN

ENVIRONMENT THAT WOULD BE

LESS STIMULATING FOR THOSE

THAT MAY OVERREACT, AND

YET STILL KEEP THE WHOLE

FAMILY TOGETHER.

IT IS A LITTLE

DISAPPOINTING FOR ME TO GO

TO TWO CARS TO GET

EVERYBODY SOME PLACE,

BECAUSE I LIKE THEM TO

TRAVEL TOGETHER.

WE SING AND PLAY GAMES IN

THE CAR, AND IT IS FUN TO

WATCH THE INTERACTION.

WE'RE A NOISY CROWD GOING

DOWN THE HIGHWAY.

IT IS A LITTLE SCARY FOR

SOMEBODY WHO PASSES US TO

LOOK IN BECAUSE ARE THERE

ALL KINDS OF ACTIVITIES

GOING ON.

IT IS A GAME-CHANGER.

WHEN WE WANT TO GO TO

BOWLING OR TO CHURCH OR

THE CLUB WE GO TO, OUR

JOYFUL NOISE CLUB, WE

COULD ALL GO TOGETHER --

WOULDN'T THAT BE NEAT?

AND OUR HELPERS TO GO WITH

US.

IT IS AN ANSWER WE

HADN'T CONTEMPLATED, AND

IT IS A SOLUTION TO A

PROBLEM WE HAD NO SOLUTION

TO.

I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW MUCH A

BLESSING THAT WOULD BE.

Terry: VISIT

FAMILY AND FROM ALL OF US.

Andrew: THIS IS A

NO-BRAINER.

IF YOU HAVE SEEN THESE

STORIES AND ARE TOUCHED

LIKE I AM, WHAT AN EASY

WAY TO HELP SUCH A

WONDERFUL FAMILY.

WE WORKED HARD ON THIS TO

MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU, TO

LET YOU KNOW ABOUT THE

WONDERFUL FAMILY AND THEIR

NEED.

AGAIN, 100% OF THE FUNDS

RAISED WILL GO DIRECTLY TO

THE DAULTON FAMILY.

IF YOU WANT TO GIVE, YOU

CAN CALL US AT

1-888-777-1999, OR LOG ON

TO "700 CLUB

INTERACTIVE".COM.

AND YOU CAN CLICK ON THE

"HELP THE DAULTO DAULTONS" TAB.

SO PLEASE HELP US BY

SHARING THEIR STORY ON ALL

OF YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA

OUTLETS.

TERRY, WHAT A WONDERFUL

OPPORTUNITY.

Terry: THEY ARE A

GREAT FAMILY.

"THE 700 CLUB" AND

"ORPHANS' PROMISE" KNOW

THE DAULTON'S ROAD WASN'T

ALWAYS AN EASE ONE, AND IT

WON'T BE.

WHEN YOU PARTNER WITH US,

YOU'RE HELPING THIS

AMAZING FAMILY AND YOU'RE

DEMONSTRATING WHAT IT

REALLY MEANS TO BE THE

HANDS AND FEET OF CHRIST.

JESS, YOU ALSO HAVE A LONG

PERSONAL HISTORY WITH THE

DAULTONS, I KNOW.

THAT'S RIGHT.

RECENTLY WE'VE GOTTEN A

CHANCE TO SPEND SOME TIME

WITH THEM IN THEIR HOME,

AND AS YOU SAW, IN THE

BOWLING ALLEY.

I HAVE TO SAY IT REALLY

TOUCHED US SO MUCH, TO SEE

HOW IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE,

CHILDREN WILL THRIVE.

YES, THE LIMITATIONS ARE

THERE, BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT?

IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF LOVE,

PEOPLE COME ALIVE.

THEY THRIVE.

AND YOU JUST SEE THEY

FORGET THEIR LIMITATIONS.

IN THE BOWLING ALLEY, THEY

WERE JUST HAVING SUCH A

WONDERFUL TIME.

WE'RE SO HAPPY TO BE PART

OF IT.

Terry: THAT'S ONE OF

THE REASONS IT WOULD BE SO

GREAT FOR THEM.

THEY ARE SUCH AN ACTIVE

FAMILY.

WHILE WE WERE THERE, THEY

WERE ALL GETTING READY TO

GO TO THE JOYFUL NOISE

CLUB, AND YOU KNOW THEY

PARTICIPATE IN THAT WELL.

BUT TO BE ABLE TO GO

TOGETHER.

I WOULD HATE IT IF IN MY

OWN FAMILY, AND I'M SURE

YOU ALL FEEL THE SAME WAY,

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE TWO

VEHICLES AND SPLIT

EVERYBODY UP, AND THE ONE

WITH THE MOST PEOPLE IN IT

IS THE LEAST DEPENDABLE.

Andrew: THIS IS SUCH

AN EASY WAY TO HELP SUCH A

GREAT FAMILY.

Terry: AND WE HOPE

YOU'LL HELP US WITH THAT.

> UP NEXT, HEAR WHAT

CHILDREN HAVE TO SAY TO AN

EXPECTING MOM.

[SPEAKING A FOREIGN

LANGUAGE]

DON'T BE AFRAID.

[SPEAKING IN SPANISH

LANGUAGE]

Terry: YOU DON'T WANT

TO MISS THIS SPECIAL

MESSAGE FROM KIDS AROUND

THE WORD, AND ITS NEXT,

WHEN WE COME BACK.

Terry: AS WE

MENTIONED EARLIER, OCTOBER

IS DOWN SYNDROME MONTH.

IT IS NOT ABOUT

CELEBRATING DISABILITIES,

IT IS ABOUT CELEBRATING

ABILITIES.

WE WANTED TO SHOW YOU A

MESSAGE OF HOPE FROM

CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD.

[SPEAKING A FOREIGN

LANGUAGE]

DON'T BE AFRAID.

[SPEAKING A FOREIGN

LANGUAGE]

Terry: YOU KNOW, ONE

OF THE GIFTS THAT DOWN

SYNDROME CHILDREN HAVE, OR

CHILDREN WITH DOWN

SYNDROME, IS THAT THEY

EXCEPT PEOPLE EXACTLY AS

THEY ARE.

AND I THINK THIS IS A

GREAT PIECE TO SAY, LET'S

SEE THE VALUE AND THE

GIFTING IN EACH OTHER.

LET'S NOT LOOK AT THE

DEFICITS.

LET'S NOT JUDGE OR

EVALUATE.

LET'S JUST LOVE EACH OTHER

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT

CHILDREN WITH DOWN

SYNDROME DO.

SO THIS MONTH CELEBRATE,

CELEBRATE WITH US, THAT

THERE ARE CHILDREN WHO

HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS, BUT

THEY HAVE SPECIAL GIFTS AS

WELL.

ANDREW?

Andrew: WHAT A

WONDERFUL SHOW, AND TO

MEET THE DAULTON FAMILY IS

A REAL PRIVILEGE.

WE LEAVE YOU WITH ROMANS

12: 13: "WHEN GOD'S PEOPLE

ARE IN NEED, BE READY TO

HELP THEM."

AND PLEASE CONSIDER THAT

FOR THE DAULTON FAMILY

TODAY.
