Efrem: SECONDS AWAY

ON "STUDIO 5"...THIS

GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING

ARTIST IS WARMING UP FOR A

LIVE PERFORMANCE.

AND THEN...

>...*

Efrem: ...SITTING

DOWN WITH "REVERSE ORDER,"

FOR A LOOK AT HOW THEIR

MUSIC IS PUSHING TO END

BULLYING.

PLUS, WE'RE HEADED TO

PAISLEY PARK.

HE SPOKE OF GOD AND

WHAT IT MEANT TO HIM AND

IT CHANGED MY LIFE.

Efrem: WHERE FANS ARE

TRAVELLING FROM FAR AND

WIDE TO PAY RESPECT FOR A

MUSIC ICON.

"STUDIO 5" STARTS NOW.

* THANK THE LORD, O MY

SOUL *

* AND ALL THAT HE IS

WITHIN ME *

Efrem: "BLESS THE

LORD," A FAMILIAR TUNE AND

VIDEO FROM

GRAMMY-AWARD-WINNING

SINGER, M MYRON BUTLER.

HE'LL JOIN US IN A FEW

MINUTES.

BUT BEFORE WE GET TO THAT,

LET'S JUMP IN WITH A LOOK

AT YOUR TOP FIVE FROM

"STUDIO 5."

AT NUMBER FIVE: A RAPPER

TURNED AUTHOR.

*

Efrem: LE CRAE

RELEASES A NEW BOOK,

TITLED "UNASHAMED," AND

THE STORY OF ADVERSITY AND

FAITH SHARES THE ARTIST'S

JOURNEY FROM DRUG DEALER

TO BELIEVER AFTER FINDING

FREEDOM IN CHRIST.

NUMBER FOUR: BONO JOINS

EUGENE PETERSON TO TALK

ABOUT THE BOOK OF PSALM.

THE LORD IS MY

SHEPHERD.

Efrem: THE HOPE IS

THE SHORT DOCUMENTARY WILL

ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE TO

SPEND TIME IN GOD'S WORD.

AT NUMBER THREE: BOXING BOXING BOXING

CHAMP MANNY PACQUIAO,

TALKS ABOUT LOVING PEOPLE.

HHIS RESPONSE SIMPLY, "I

LOVE THEM."

AT NUMBER TWO: AMY GRANT'S

HIT, "BABY, BABY," TURNS

25.

* BABY, I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE

MINE *

Efrem: THIS SONG HIT

THE TOP 10 IN 10 DIFFERENT

COUNTRIES AT THE SAME

TIME.

GRANT IS CELEBRATING THE

MILESTONE WITH A REMAKE OF

THE TUNE WITH CORY KELLY.

FINALLY TO NUMBER ONE: NFL

AND VOCAL CHRISTIAN

BENJAMIN WATSON RESPONDS

TO THE CONTROVERSIAL NORTH

CAROLINA BATHROOM BILL.

HE STRESSED HE WOULD FAVOR

THE LAW, SAYING, I'M NOT

IN FAVOR OF ANYzg

LEGISLATION TO SPITE OR

DEMEAN OTHERS.

HOWEVER, I AM IN FAVOR OF

LEGISLATION THAT GOVERNS

HUMAN ACTIVITY IN A WAY

THAT WOULD BE PLEASING TO

THE LORD.

AND THOSE ARE YOUR TOP

FIVE FROM "STUDIO 5."

NOW WE TURN OUR ATTENTION

TO MYRON BUTLER.

HE IS A SINGER,

SONGWRITER, PRODUCER,

CHOIR DIRECTOR, AND NOW AN

AUTHOR.

HIS NEW BOOK IS CALLED

"BORN IDENTITY," AND HIS

NEW PROJECT IS CALLED "ON

PURPOSE."

THAT'S HIS PROFESSIONAL

LIFE, BUT MYRON IS BEING

TRANSPARENT AND SHARING

MORE OF HIS PERSONAL LIFE

THIS WEEK IN OUR "STUDIO

5" INTERVIEW.

OUR CAMERAS ROLLED AS

MYRON BUTLER REHER REHEARSED FOR

HIS "STUDIO 5"

PERFORMANCE.

IT IS A WORSHIP LEADER AT

BISHOP T.D. JAKES'

POTTERHOUSE CHURCH, AND HE

IS AN AUTHOR AND LOVING

HUSBAND AND FATHER OF

THREE.

THAT'S HIS MOST IMPORTANT

ROLE.

I REALIZE I'M CALLED TO

MY FAMILY FIRST.

IF I FORESAKE MY FAMILY,

I'M NOT THE MINISTRY THAT

GOD HAS CALLED ME TO BE.

I GREW UP IN A

SINGLE-FAMILY HOME.

WE DIDN'T HAVE THE MOM,

DAD, SI SIBLINGS AND FAMILY.

SO FOR ME, WHEN I CUT IT

OFF, I CUT IT OFF AND IT

IS FAMILY TIME.

Efrem: WHAT WAS THE

DAD SITUATION WHEN YOU

GREW UP?

THE DAD SITUATION WAS

NON-EXISTENT.

AND MY MOM WASN'T REALLY

DESCRIPTIVE OR

COMMUNICATIVE ABOUT WHAT

THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS.

I WAS, LIKE, HE'S NOT

HERE, SO LIFE GOES ON.

QUITE HONESTLY, IT CREATED

A HOLE.

I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT YEAR

IT WAS, BUT I WAS ON A

TOUR, AND WE WERE IN

TAMPA, AND THAT'S ABOUT 15

MINUTES FROM THE TOWN I

WAS BORN IN.

AND ONE OF MY CHILDHOOD

FRIENDS STARTED DATING

HIM.

AND IT WAS VERY WEIRD.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE

OTHER SIDE OF ME LOOKS

LIKE.

SO I SAW HIM, AND I HAD

THAT PART SATISFIED.

WE TALKED A LITTLE BIT,

AND THAT WAS IT.

SO FOR ME, IT FURTHER

PROPELS ME TO BE THERE

MORE FOR MY CHILDREN.

AND ANOTHER VERY

TRANSPARENT MOMENT, I WAS

TAKING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL

ONE MORNING.

AND MY SON -- I HAVE TWO

GIRLS AND MY SON IS IN THE

MIDDLE.

AND HE ASKED ME -- HE IS

LIKE -- THIS WAS DRIVING

HIM TO SCHOOL ONE MORNING.

HE SAID, DAD, WHY WASN'T

YOUR DAD THERE?

AND IT ARRESTED ME.

AND I SAID, WELL, SON, HE

JUST DIDN'T WANT TO BE

THERE.

AND IT JUST -- ALL OF THE

EMOTION THAT YOU COULD

IMAGINE WELLS UP.

AND SO FOR ME, THAT'S WHAT

CALLS ME NOT TO TRY TO

RIGHT ANY WRONG THAT SHE

DID, BUT THE GENERATIONAL

CURSE STOPS HERE.

I TOTALLY RELATE.

I GOT THE ARRESTING MOMENT

WHEN I WAS TAKING MY SON

TO BUY A SOCCER BALL WHEN

HE WAS FIVE.

AND AS WE WALKING IN THE

DOOR, HE SAS, WHER HE SAYS, WHERE WAS

YOUR DAD TO BUY YOU A

SOCCER BALL.

BALL?

, AND YOU'RAND YOU'RE, LIKE, NOT

HERE, NOT NOW.

> NOW, I READ YOU

STARTED PLAYING PIANO AT

EIGHT?

I WOULD PULL UP A CHAIR

AND WATCH THE ORGAN PLAYER

AT CHURCH SUNDAY AFTER

SUNDAY.

SO MY GRANDMOTHER AND MOM

GOT MONEY TOGETHER AND GOT

ME A LITTLE PIANO.

I TOOK LESSONS FOR

PROBABLY ABOUT A YEAR

AFTER I GOT IT.

I STARTED IT, AND THERE

WAS AN INWARD PULLING ME

TO THE MUSIC.

Efrem: SO YOU

RECORDED YOUR FIRST ALBUM

AT -- WAS IT AT 17?

MY FIRST SONG.

MY FIRST SONG WAS WITH

D.W. MASS CHOIR.

AND WE WOULD HAVE

SOMETHING CALLED "NEW

MUSIC MONDAYS," AND THAT'S

WHERE THEY WOULD ALLOW

PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY TO

COME AND TEACH SONGS TO

THE CHOIR IN CONSIDERATION

FOR THE NEXT ALBUM.

AND I WAS, LIKE, I'VE GOT

A SONG.

I GO UP ONE MONDAY AND

TEACH THE SONG, AND IT

GOES OVER REALLY WELL.

AND I GO TO THE BACK OF

THE CHURCH FOR THE REST OF

THE REHEARSAL, AND ONE OF

THE DIRECTORS COMES UP AND

SAYS, YOU'VE GOT TALENT.

I WANT TO TAKE YOU UP

UNDER MY WING.

THAT WAS KIRK FRANKFURT.

FRANKLIN.

AND HE IS STILL MY MENTOR

AND BROTHER AND GOOD

FRIEND.

Efrem: WHAT WAS THE

NAME OF THAT SONG?

"LIFT HIM UP."

*

[LAUGHTER]

Efrem: I THINK YOU'RE

COMING UP.

OKAY, YOU HAVE TO STOP.

[LAUGHTER]

THANKS A LOT.

I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND EVER

V.C.R. TAPE OF THAT

RECORDING AND DESTROYED

IT.

Efrem: WHAT WOULD YOU

TELL THAT 17-YEAR-OLD

TODAY?

WHAT WOULD I TELL HIM?

DON'T LOSE YOUR DRIVE.

DON'T LOSE YOUR DRIVE.

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I TELL

SONGWRITERS AND ARTISTS

THAT COME UP TO ME FOR

ADVICE.

AND -- NOT THE MINISTRY

PART, BUT THE BUSINESS

SIDE OF WHAT WE DO IS

BRUTAL.

IT IS BRUTAL AND IT CAN --

IF YOU LET IT, IT CAN WEAR

YOU DOWN.

IT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE

YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING

SIGNIFICANT TO CONTRIBUTE.

AND WHEN GOD GIFTED YOU

WITH THAT ABILITY, BEFORE

THE FOUNDATION OF THE

WORLD, THERE WAS A PURPOSE

THAT HE GAVE IT TO YOU

FOR.

AND THAT'S NOT TIED TO ANY

RECORD, ANYTHING.

IT WAS SO THAT YOU CAN GO

AND BRING GLORY TO THIS

NAME THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF

MUSIC OR SONG OR WHATEVER

IT IS.

Efrem: MYRON IS

RESTING UP HIS VOCAL

CHORDS AND WARMING THEM UP

AT THE SAME TIME.

HE IS TAKING THE STAGE TO

SING HIS LATEST TUNE RIGHT

HERE IN "STUDIO 5."

> ALSO AHEAD ON "STUDIO

5"...

*

Efrem: THEY PERFORM

ON THE "AMERICA'S GOT

TALENT STAGE," AND THEY'RE

NOW HERE IN "STUDIO 5" TO

SHOWCASE MUSIC WITH A

MESSAGE.

Efrem: AND WE ARE

BACK.

IT IS TIME TO HEAR MYRON

BUTLER DO WHAT HE DOES

BEST.

HE IS HERE PERFORMING THE

SONG "BEST PRAISE."

MYRON BUTLER, TAKE IT

AWAY.

*

JESUS CHRIST GAVE IT ALL

FOR US *

* SO IN RETURN, WE HAVE TO

GIVE THE LORD OUR BEST,

BEST PRAISE *

HALLELUJAH.

PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER

RIGHT THERE WITH ME.

YES.

IT'S A LITTLE SIMPLE SONG

THAT WE SING.

I WANT YOU TO CATCH IT AND

SING IT ALONG WITH US.

IT STARTS LIKE THIS.

* LORD, YOU'RE FAITHFUL

* YOU'RE FAITHFUL

* COACHING US IN EVERY

WAY *

* BRAND NEW MERCY

* YOU GIVE TO ME

* EVERY DAY

* YOU'RE FOREVER PRAISED

* AND MY HEART WILL ALWAYS

SING *

* I'LL GIVE YOU MINE

THAT'S IT RIGHT THERE,

PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER IF

YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT THE

GOD THAT YOU SERVE.

*

SAME THING, ONE MORE TIME.

SING IT WITH ME.

* LORD, YOU'RE FAITHFUL

* CONSISTENT IN EVERY

WAY *

* WITH BRAND NEW MERCY

* YOU GIVE TO ME

* EVERY DAY

* YOU'RE FOREVER

* MY HEART WILL ALWAYS

SING *

* I'LL GIVE YOU MY BEST

PRAISE *

* WHEN I LIFT MY HANDS

* I'LL GIVE YOU -- I'LL

GIVE YOU MY BEST PRAISE *

* WHEN I LIFT MY VOICE,

I'LL GIVE YOU MY BEST

PRAISE *

* GIVE YOU MY BEST

PRAISE *

* HALLELUJAH

* YES, LORD

* HALLELUJAH

* I'LL GIVE IT ALL TO

YOU *

* JESUS, YOU DESERVE IT

* HALLELUJAH

* YES, JESUS

* HALLELUJAH

*

EVERYTHING I HAVE, I'LL

GIVE IT TO YOU *

* YES, LORD, YOU DESERVE

IT *

* YOU DESERVE IT

* HALLELUJAH, MY BEST

PRAISE *

* HALLELUJAH

* WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE

MORNING *

* HALLELUJAH

* YOU DESERVE IT

* MY BEST PRAISE

Efrem: EXCELLENT

PERFORMANCE.

THE SINGLE YOU JUST HEARD

IS AVAILABLE TODAY, BUT

YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL

THE END OF THE MONTH TO

GET THE WHOLE ALBUM.

> STILL AHEAD ON "STUDIO

5"...

WE GUESS MESSAGES ALL

THE TIME FROM SUICIDAL

TEENS.

Efrem: SEE HOW THIS

BAND IS SAVING LIVES ONE

SCHOOL VISIT AT A TIME.

Efrem: WE LOVE MUSIC

HERE IN "STUDIO 5."

LAST WEEK WE INTRODUCED

YOU TO MUSIC FANS WHO ARE

OPENING UP THEIR HOMES AND

HEARTS TO TRAVELLING

ARTISTS.

THE ORGANIZATION PULLING

THIS TOGETHER IS CALLED

"RIFO," AND IT IS MAKING

IT POSSIBLE FOR GROUPS

LIKE "REVERSE ORDER" TO

TRAVEL THE COUNTRY WITH

GREAT MUSIC AND GREAT

MESSAGE AGAINST BULLYING.

THE MUSIC OF "REVERSE

ORDER" IS WHAT IS PLAYING

IN MY EAR.

*

I LIFT YOU UP *

*

Efrem: LET'S BEGIN

WITH THE NAME, "REVERSE

ORDER," WHERE DID THAT

COME FROM?

WHEN WE STARTED PLAYING

MUSIC, WE HAD BEEN ARGUING

ABOUT A NAME FOR A VERY

LONG TIME.

AT THE TIME I WAS

HOME-SCHOOLED, SO I WAS

DOING MATH ON A WHITE

BOARD.

AND MY DAD WALKED IN, AND

IT SAID "REVERSE ORDER,"

AND IT HAD TO DO WITH

MULTIPLYING.

AND MY DAD SAID, THAT'S

YOUR NAME.

AND PEOPLE LIKED IT, SO IT

HAS BEEN WITH US EVER

SINCE.

Efrem: YOU TWO ARE

BROTHERS?

I FOUND THEM WHEN I WAS

WORKING AT A PLACE WHEN I

WAS IN COLLEGE.

AND I SAID, I CAN DO THIS

STUFF.

AND IT WAS A LOT OF FUN.

WE HAD THIS HUGE SHOW AND

I LEFT THE VENUE, AND THEY

WERE, LIKE, YOU'RE IN THE

BAND.

Efrem: YOU ENDED UP

ON "AMERICA'S GOT TALENT?"

WE DIDN'T EVEN

INTERVIEW FOR THE SHOW.

A PRODUCER ASKED US TO

SUBMIT ONE OF OUR VIDEOS.

AND THEY BASICALLY PUSHED

US THROUGH.

WE WERE THERE TRAINING FOR

NINE DAYS AND WE WERE

RIGHT INTO THE SEMIFINALS

AUTOMATICALLY.

WE GOT TO PLAY ON TV, AND

WE DIDN'T GET "X"ED OR

ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

IT WAS THE BIGGEST THING

THAT HAPPENED TO US.

Efrem: YOU GUYS ARE

TOURING NOW AND VISITING

HIGH SCHOOLS, WHY?

AFTER WE WERE ON

"AMERICA'S GOT TALENT," WE

WERE WITH A GROUP THAT PUT

US IN REGULAR HIGH SCHOOLS

ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

AND A LOT OF STUDENTS WERE

TALK TO US ABOUT A LOT OF

PROBLEMS THEY WERE HAVING,

AND THEY WOULD MESSAGE US

AFTERWARDS.

AND WE REALIZED IT WAS THE

SAME PROBLEMS WE HAD GONE

THROUGH.

AND WE CREATED THE PROGRAM

"REVERSE THE TREND," AND

WE HAD DONE IT JUST A

HANDFUL OF TIMES IN

PENNSYLVANIA AND NEW YORK.

AND A COMPANY FOUND OUT

ABOUT US AND SAID, HEY, DO

YOU WANT TO DO THIS FOR

NINE MONTHS.

AND WE SAID, DEFINITELY.

SIGN US UP.

AND THAT'S WHERE WE ARE

TODAY.

Efrem: HOW DESPERATE

ARE THE KIDS IN THE

SCHOOLS YOU'RE TRAVELLING

THROUGH.

KIDS SEEM TO GO THROUGH A

LOT TODAY.

WE GET MESSAGES ALL OF

THE TIME FROM SUICIDAL

TEENS, KIDS WHO HAVE

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE AND WHO

ARE STRUGGLING WITH

DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY.

SO WE ALWAYS LEAVE ALL OF

OUR SOCIAL MEDIA OPEN FOR

THEM TO CONTACT US.

WE SAY AT THE END OF EVERY

SHOW, IF YOU DON'T FEEL

COMFORTABLE TALKING TO A

TEACHER OR YOUR PARENTS,

FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US ON

Facebook.

Efrem: DO YOU FEEL

LIKE THIS IS YOUR CALLING?

THAT YOU WERE CALLED TO DO

THIS?

I WOULD SAY YOU DON'T

END UP DOING THIS WITHOUT

SOME SORT OF CALLING,

ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WASN'T

THE PLAN.

WE WERE JUST KIND OF DOING

IT SMALL, AS A LOCAL

THING.

AND OUT OF I NOWHERE, THIS

COMPANY SIGNED US UP FOR

270 SHOWS OUR FIRST YEAR.

Efrem: IT IS NICE TO

SEE WHAT HAPPENED FOR YOU,

BUT WAS THIS THE DREAM FOR

YOU?

I IMAGINE IT WASN'T.

THE DREAM WAS TO PLAY

MUSIC.

OBVIOUSLY, LIKE ANY BAND,

WE WANT TO BE SELLING OUT

INTERNATIONAL TOURS AND

HAVE ALL OF THE CHART

CHART-TOPPERS, BUT THIS

DOESN'T TAKE AWAY FROM

THIS.

LAST DECEMBER WE DID A

TWO-WEEK TOUR IN RUSSIA,

WHICH WAS A LOT OF FUN.

THE NON-PROFIT IS A HUGE

SUCCESS, ESPECIALLY SINCE

IT WASN'T EVEN PLANNED.

IT JUST KIND OF HAPPENED.

IT HAS ALL BEEN GREAT.

Efrem: AND ONE OF THE

THINGS THAT BRINGS YOU

HERE -- YOU GUYS ARE HERE

IN VIRGINIA, IS AN

ORGANIZATION THAT HELPS

MUSICIANS LIKE YOURSELVES

IN TERMS OF FINDING

COMFORT ON THE ROAD.

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT WHEN

YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT

TRAVELLING?

IT CAN BE DIFFICULT,

BUT DIFFERENT PROGRAMS

LIKE "RIFO" ARE VERY

HELPFUL.

WE STAYED AT HOUSES ALL

ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

AND WHEN WE WERE TALKING

TO FRIENDS AT HOME, THEY

WERE, LIKE, YOU GO TO ST.

LOUIS?

AND I WAS, LIKE, WE HAVE

FRIENDS EVERYWHERE.

AND EVEN FOR A DAY, NOT

BEING IN A HOTEL ROOM

WITH, LIKE, THREE TO FIVE

OTHER PEOPLE IS NICE.

WE'D BE STAYING IN A

LOT SMALLER HOTEL ROOMS,

EATING A LOT WORSE FOOD,

IF IT WASN'T FOR PEOPLE

OPENING THEIR HOMES AND

ALLOWING US TO STAY THERE

AND TAKING CARE OF US.

IT IS A REALLY GREAT HELP,

AND A LOT OF THE PEOPLE

ARE ALSO THERE FOR YOU

EMOTIONALLY, WHICH YOU

DON'T GET FROM A DESK

CLERK AT A HOTEL.

SO IT IS DEFINITELY A MUCH

BETTER EXPERIENCE.

IT CAN JUST GET REALLY

MONOTONOUS, TOO.

EVERY HOTEL LOOKS THE

SAME.

EVEN ONE DAY WITH A GROUP

OF PEOPLE WHO GENUINELY

CARE ABOUT YOU PUSHES THE

RESET BUTTON AND YOU CAN

GO FOR ANOTHER MONTH.

Efrem: I IMAGINE

BECAUSE YOU ARE

CHRISTIANS -- YOU'RE NOT A

CHRISTIAN BAND -- BUT

YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT

CONTENT?

OBVIOUSLY, WE'RE THREE

GUYS, AND SO THERE ARE

SONGS ABOUT GIRLS.

BUT WE ALSO HAVE SONGS

THAT DEAL WITH A LOT OF

SERIOUS ISSUES, AND WE

HAVE A SONG CALLED "NOT

ALONE," WHICH DEALS WITH

OVERCOMING BULLYING.

THINGS ARE GOING TO

HAPPEN, AND YOU'RE NOT

ALONE IN WHAT YOU'RE

DOING, AND THINGS ARE

GOING TO GET BETTER.

Efrem: BEFORE I LET

YOU GO, RECORDING IN THE

FUTURE, ARE WE LOOKING

FORWARD TO SOMETHING?

YES.

WE JUST RELEASED A NEW

E.P. CALLED "NOTHING TO

HIDE," WHICH WE RECORDED

OUT IN L.A. OVER THE

SUMMERMENT ANSUMMER.

AND WE HAVE THREE BRAND

NEW SONGS THAT WE THINK

ARE DEFINITELY OUR BEST

YET.

Efrem: STILL AHEAD ON

"STUDIO 5," PRINCE'S

FAMILY MEMBERS ARE IN A

COURT BATTLE OVER HIS

ESTATE, BUT FANS ARE

MOURNING THE LOSS AND

REMEMBERING THE MUSIC.

WE'RE AT PAISLEY PARK FOR

THE FINAL WORD.

Efrem: HERE IS A

SNEAK PEEK AT WHAT WE'RE

WORKING ON FOR THE NEXT

WEEK OF "STUDIO 5," IT IS

A SHOW THAT IS TAKING US

STRAIGHT TO HOLLYWOOD.

A HUMOROUS SONG ABOUT

STUDENT DEBT SENT HIS

MUSIC CAREER SOARING.

D-1 GETS REAL WITH "STUDIO

5" ABOUT SEXUAL PURITY.

YOU HAVE OTHER PEOPLE

SAYING, I AM NOT HAVING

SEX AT ALL OUTSIDE OF

MARRIAGE.

BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I

DON'T WATCH PORN.

THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT

MASTERBATION ISN'T A PARTE

OF MY LIFE.

ONCE AGAIN, WHO ARE YOU

COMPARING YOURSELF TO?

Efrem: WATCH FOR MORE

FROM D-1 IN THE NEXT

EPISODE OF "STUDIO 5."

HE IS A WISE AND

INSIGHTFUL YOUNG MAN.

> FOR NOW I WANT TO GIVE

THE FINAL WORD TO FANS OF

MUSIC ICON PRINCE.

THERE ARE STILL MORE

QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS

SURROUNDING HIS DEATH.

BUT WE DO KNOW HE WAS AN

AMAZING TALENT AND THOSE

FANS ADORED HIM.

"STUDIO 5" PAID A VISIT TO

HIS PAISLEY PARK HOME IN

MINNESOTA, AND WE TALKED

TO FANS WHO TRAVELLED

HUNDREDS OF MILES TO PAY

THEIR RESPECTS.

TO COME BY PAISLEY PARK

AND SEE THIS TRIBUTE IS

REALLY TREMENDOUS.

I'M AN '80s PERSON,

AND GREW UP WITH THE

'80s MUSIC, AND THERE IS

NOT ANY OTHER PERSON I CAN

THINK OF WITH MORE

INFLUENCE ON THE '80s

SOUND.

EVERYTHING POST PRINCE HAD

HIS STAMP ON IT.

IT REALLY HIT ME HARD

WHEN I HEARD THE NEWS, SO

I FELT COMPELLED TO COME

OUT AND PAY MY RESPECTS

AND SAY GOOD-BYE.

FOR SOMEBODY WHO DID SO

MUCH FOR EVERYBODY, THE

LEAST WE CAN DO AS SIMPLE

FANS IS KIND OF SHOW WHAT

WE COULD GIVE BACK TO HIM

FOR ALL HE GAVE TO US.

I BROUGHT MY AUTHENTIC

1984 "PURPLE RAIN" ALBUM.

THAT SONG JUST DOES

SOMETHING TO ME.

THE FIRST TIME HE GETS

INTO THE WORDS, I GET

CHILLS EVERY TIME.

WE EXPLAINED THAT

"LET'S GO CRAZY," WAS GOD,

AND THE ELEVATOR BRINGING

HIM DOWN WAY SATAN.

HE ALWAYS HAS THAT MIX OF

SPIRITUALITY IN IT.

IT TOUCHED EVERYONE.

TODAY IT IS ACTUALLY

RAINING, SO WHAT A

SYMBOLISM OVER WHAT PRINCE

WAS ALL ABOUT.

IT'S VERY MOVING TO SEE

WHAT PRINCE MEANT TO HIS

FANS AND TO THE WORLD.

WHEN HE PLAYED HIS

SHOW, HE SPOKE OF GOD AND

WHAT THE ALBUM MEANT TO

HIM, AND IT CHANGED MY

LIFE.

HE'LL BE MISSED FOR

SURE.

Efrem: THE TIME

FLIES.

THAT IS ALL FOR TODAY ON

"STUDIO 5."

UNTIL NEXT TIME, REACH OUT

AND TOUCH ME AT EFREM

GRAHAM ON TWITTER, INS

INSTAGRAM AND Facebook.

AND COME ON BACK AND SEE

WHERE "STUDIO 5" TAKES YOU

NEXT TIME.
