REPORTER: When Hurricane Matthew devastated Fayetteville, North

Carolina and flooded Kim Butsch's home,

she didn't know what to do.

It was a lake.

This whole street was a lake.

The water had come into the house

and the carpet was soaked.

REPORTER: Kim and her five children

moved into a friend's RV parked in the driveway.

She really wanted to get her family back in their home

by Christmas, but didn't think that was possible.

Then within days of the flood, Operation Blessing

was on the ground with an army of volunteers.

Because it's one thing when you have friends or family

that tell you that they're there for you and going to help you,

but to have Operation Blessing to be here.

You say the word blessing, but that doesn't really

touch what it is.

REPORTER: Operation Blessing planed something extra special

for Kim and her kids, a complete home renovation

just in time for the holidays.

KIM: I gasped.

Oh my gosh, look at all of it!

It's so beautiful!

And this is my house?

Are you serious?

REPORTER: Thanks to Operation Blessing,

they have new appliances, kitchen cabinets, furniture,

and more.

Because I know that this whole process is

because of God, because Jesus.

And to see the little sign that says blessed,

I am more than abundantly blessed,

more than I could ever hope or dream was taken care of.

Thank you so much.

You're welcome.
