They Deserve What They Get—Or Do They?

It’s okay to steal from those kids, she thought—because they are bullies and they treated her meanly! It was too much for Thel to endure. Her anger turned on her mom and dad—until she saw something that changed her heart completely. Read Transcript

When no one was looking, Fel sometimes

stole things from her classmates.

She believed her actions were justified because of the way

they treated her.

I Stole pencils from them because they were bullying .

At home, Phil's mom needed help with the family business.

But the 8-year-old refused to do anything.

I felt very upset and disappointed when

she refused to help me.

Then one day at church, Phil watched a Superbook episode

about the Ten Commandments.

When I watch Superbook, I found out

that stealing is forbidden, so I decided that I will not

make Jesus sad anymore.

After watching the Superbook episode,

Phil told her Sunday school teacher

that she had been stealing.

I asked Jesus to forgive my sin and be my Savior.

I promised not to steal anymore.

I also prayed that he would help me make peace with the bullies.

Back home, Phil asked her mom to forgive her too.

She promised she would listen to me

and obey and change her behavior.

It has been amazing.

Now, she helps me the first time I ask.

I am so happy for the change in her.

Phil also shared the gospel with her classmates,

including the ones who had been bullying her.

I shared Jesus with them because I

want them to know him too.

Some of them listen and they go to Sunday school with me.

We watch more superbook stories together.
