It's Monday, August 7th.

And here is your "CBN News Minute."

This resolution is the single largest economic sanctions

package ever leveled against the North Korean regime.

BEN KENNEDY: The United Nations issued new sanctions

to punish North Korea for its escalating nuclear and missile

programs.

This morning, President Trump spoke

with South Korea's president about how the communist regime

poses a direct threat to the US, South Korea, and Japan.

At the same time, the White House

is firing back at a "New York Times"

article that suggests Vice President Pence is preparing

to run for president in 2020.

That is complete fiction.

BEN KENNEDY: The article suggests

some Republicans are forming a shadow campaign in case

President Trump doesn't run for reelection.

Pence called the article fake news and offensive.

The US military remains focused on taking the fight

to ISIS in Raqqa, Syria.

CBN's Chris Mitchell reports from the Golan Heights

that some experts are warning that the fight

against the Islamic State might just be a prelude to a much

more dangerous battle.

It's there, you can also stay on top of the latest headlines.
