IS IT TRUE THAT THESE ARE ALL BIBLICAL SIGNS FROM GOD THAT THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO END? DID THE DISCIPLES RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AT BAPTISM, OR IN THE UPPER ROOM? Read Transcript

All right.

Let's take some questions.

Yes, great story.

OK.

Here's one from Ryan.

He says, Hi, Pat.

I've been hearing that the world is

about to end as we know it because of all these hurricanes

and earthquakes we've had this year, and the solar eclipse.

Is it true that these are all biblical signs from God

that the world is about to end?

Oh, Ryan.

I don't see any such thing.

I said at the beginning of this thing, do not spiritualize.

There's certain natural disasters that definitely

have a spiritual connection.

I don't think these do.

I have no knowledge of that fact and it certainly

isn't the end of the world.

So just keep-- we're going to keep on going.

There's some more things for us all to do.

The Bible says that this gospel of the kingdom

will be preached in all the world

for a witness then shall the end come.

The gospel of the kingdom has not

been preached in all the world, yet.

There's more many more that need to come

into the kingdom first of all.

Yes.

All right.

Amen.

All right.

Here's one.

Does everyone receive the Holy Spirit

when baptized as a baby--

or much later as an adult, when salvation is received?

Did the disciples receive the Holy Spirit

at baptism, or in the Upper Room?

That's from Gloria.

Well, the disciples received the Holy Spirit

when they accepted Jesus.

You know, he breathed on them and he

said receive the Holy Spirit.

So that was an initial infilling.

But the power came on the day of Pentecost, when they were--

there's an infilling of the Holy Spirit.

If I have a glass of water--

and I got a glass of something here.

This is tea.

All right.

I've got this tea in this cup.

So I take a sip of this and it goes into me and I have tea

in me.

But if I go down to the ocean, which

is a few miles away from me, and I jump in the ocean,

I'm suddenly connected with all the oceans

on the face of the Earth and I am immersed in the water.

One's baptism, the other is a little sip, a little infilling

early.

OK?

Amen.

Yeah, I want the ocean.

OK.

James says, did people go to heaven in the past

before the Bible was written?

How would they know the truth if the Bible didn't exist yet?

The Bible says God's power and grace

was made manifest of people by the things that he made.

All you had to do is look at the sun, you look at the stars,

look at yourself, look at your hand, look at the miracle

that you are.

And the heavens declare the glory of God,

the Earth shows forth his handicap.

You don't need it in a book.

So, the book has made it nice, so we've

got it all cleared up for us in a nice written form.

But the Bible was written on men's hearts

a long time before that.

Amen.

Here's one back from this viewer says,

will God always stay with us and fight for us

through our entire life, or will there ever

be a time when enough is enough and God just gives up on us?

No, God is never going to give up.

I think that's what we'll say.

God is never going to give up on you.

He is faithful to the end and he's not

giving up on you or me.

Thank God.

Thank God.

That'll preach right there.

Thank you so much.
