I Can Run, Jump, and Play!
CBN.com Aliena, a six-year-old Ukrainian girl, suffered from a double hernia since birth. Without surgery, doctors told her parents that she could die. But her family could not afford for the operation.
Aliena’s father worked hard repairing and painting cars, but his salary was not enough to feed his family of six children.
When it was apparent that Ailena would need surgery, her family began to pray for God’s provision. The prayers on her behalf did not go unnoticed by Aliena.
She said, “I saw my mother praying that God would give our family money for the surgery, and so I also prayed and believed that God would help us.”
Aliena’s mother Natasha remembered how Operation Blessing had helped her mother the year before. She wondered if Operation Blessing could be an answer to her prayers again.
“I don’t like to ask others for help, but I realized that Aliena’s condition was critical, and so I decided to call Operation Blessing,” Natasha said.
Thankfully, Operation Blessing was able to help this family. OB arranged for the surgery, which was a success!
Today, Aliena is a normal, happy six-year-old. She helps her mother around the house and is now attending school.
“Since the surgery I feel so much better,” Aliena said. “My stomach doesn’t hurt any more, and I can now run, jump, and play. Thank you very much for helping me!”
