CBN.com - CBN Siam’s newest TV program, Health Station  has made its nationwide debut this month.  Health Station  airs every Tuesday on the Thai Public Broadcasting System (TPBS) at 1:30 pm.

Health Station  (“Satanee Anamai” in Thai) is a familiar concept to Thai people, since each district has a public health station.  The program will meet real needs of the Thai people and of the Thai government, which is currently promoting good health.  For CBN, the program offers another opportunity to share the humanitarian work of Operation Blessing and to direct people to our counseling center for prayer and follow-up.

Hosts of Health Station are Dr. Niran Pattaranakool and the energetic Miss Natagamon (“Earth”) Roongtim.  Niran is director of the Van Sant Voord Hospital in Lampang, as well as host of our ministry program From Heart to Heart and a regular volunteer on Operation Blessing medical missions in Thailand.

Miss Earth represents the disabled community.  She is a project manager for the Bangkok Independent Living Foundation and is a qualified disability equality trainer and peer counselor.  Miss Earth is also an occasional host on From Heart to Heart

Health Station is divided into four segments:

1) The Check-Up Room, a segment on physical health;

2) The Healthy Heart Room, where we offer spiritual encouragement;

3) The Visiting Room, where we visit a (Christian) patient and their family to see how they are managing their illness or condition;

4) The Public Health Room, where we will share the work of Operation Blessing Thailand.  The hosts will introduce the program features, interview expert medical guests, and answer questions from the audience.

The program is taped at Van Sant Voord Hospital.  Niran expressed his excitement about the program saying it will make an impact on the nation in a very positive way.

“Public health stations throughout the country are aiming for good health throughout society, and they want to teach Thai people how to take better care of their health,” he said.
