A Letter of Love

CBN.com – One day, Nuuneung was a typical fourth grader, running and jumping on the playground. The next, he was paralyzed with a lung condition that changed his life forever.
Now 20, Nuuneung Chaisrirum – nicknamed “Boy” – lives with his grandmother in Buriram Province, the poorest region in Thailand. He cannot walk or sit up because his muscles have weakened so much.
“I cried a long time ago,” he recalled. “I would think about my life and start crying while I lay in my bed every day.”
Because he could still use his fingers, Boy took matters into his own hands. Over the past few years, he has written more than 300 letters to various people. But no one replied until he wrote to Kids Only, a CBN program produced in Thailand. The CBN staff wrote back! Boy has become one of the show’s biggest fans, and has been receiving mail from CBN ever since.
“At first, I used to think that God was hurting me, … but when I really read [the literature CBN sent] … it made me feel that someone loves me very much,” he said.
Thanks to the faithful support of CBN partners, Kids Only was there broadcasting the message of God’s love. In addition, Boy received a personal visit from CBN staff who led him in the prayer of salvation, and Boy knows that Jesus is the only answer he’ll ever need.
Boy said, “Sometimes I would feel weak and ready to give up, but I feel something inside of me saying, ‘Don’t give up!’” Now, he calls himself “Super Boy.”
