Tatiana's Blooming Success
CBN.com – A year ago, Tatiana’s husband abandoned her and left her to care for their five children alone.
“I had to borrow money from my friends and neighbors to feed [my] children and make ends meet, to buy bread for my family simply not to starve,” Tatiana explained.
She found a low-paying job washing cars, but she had to hire a babysitter to watch her children. She was in debt to her neighbors who lent her money.
“I couldn't afford bread, let alone clothes,” Tatiana said. “And when my children went to bed they asked, ‘Mom, give us something to eat!’ But I couldn't give them anything.”
One day Operation Blessing came to Tatiana's town and saw that she and her children desperately needed help. OB workers gave her $700 to start her own small business growing and selling flowers. She bought seeds, flowerpots, soil, and other gardening supplies.
Soon Tatiana’s plants seeds grew and began to blossom. Tatiana now makes 300 to 400 dollars every month, enough to provide for her family.
She said, “Thanks to your help I have a business that I like, and now I [can] spend more time with my children. I paid back all of my neighbors, and have given my children a better life.
