An Act of Mercy for Anzhela
CBN.com Anzhela Borodina, 7, is a victim of tragic circumstances. When she was born, the midwife accidentally dropped her on the floor, which caused a grave form of cerebral palsy. She cannot hold her head up, walk, or sit without taking her medicine.
Anzhela’s father left the family saying that he didn’t want to limit his life by taking care of a sick child. Besides all of the moral and physical difficulties, Anzhela’s family also faces a bleak financial situation.
Anzhela’s 27-year-old mother, Inna, wrote to Operation Blessing requesting financial aid. She wanted to purchase a special desk for her daughter. The desk is designed for children with cerebral palsy – to help hold hands and legs in a sitting position.
Fortunately for Anzhela and her mother, OB Partners were able to raise funds and purchase the long-awaited table and send it to Lugansk area, east of Ukraine.
The table proved to be a great support for Anzhela and her mother Inna, and it will greatly improve their daily life.
In a letter of gratitude to the OB staff Inna wrote:
“I am so thankful to you for your attention and help! My daughter was so happy to receive this gift from you. Now that she is able to sit at the table, she can take her toys, books, and blocks. Besides, it is much easier for me to feed her now. I am thankful to everyone who participated in this act of mercy, and especially to the person who donated money for my child. Please, let me call you my friends! It is so exciting to have such wonderful friends and I am sure that my family will be doing much better now! Thank you very much!”
